Hi there-

I just bought a Trophy Skin and have been using it for about a week, but have yet to see any results. Could someone (if there is anyone?) who has been using it longer tell me if they've had any luck? Or how long I should expect it to take before I see results?

Also, I had been using BP as well up until yesterday, but the combination of it and the light seems to have resulted in a very dry/flaky face, so I just stopped using the BP last night. Could someone tell me whether they think it's redundant to use both? Is it a smart move to stop using the BP? Or am I going to regret this in a few days?

Thanks!

I haven't tried the product yet, but I e-mailed them about it... did they tell you how often you should be using it? Also, they told me that I'd use it after washing my face but before applying bp, is that what you're doing? If you're following everything correctly, I'd say give it another week, and if there's no improvement get your money back. Personally, I wouldn't stop using the bp, but if you feel like they're doing the same thing and would rather use the light, then you'll just have to risk using only 1

Thanks for the advice. I've been following the directions that came with the lamp, which are to use the lamp for 20-30 minutes, up to twice a day, three times a week, depending on the severity of your acne. And I use the lamp directly after cleansing, and put on the BP afterward. However, I stopped using the BP two days ago because my face has become so dry and flaky that I just don't think my skin can handle the combination of both. Also, I've been using the lamp almost every day, twice a day, since my acne is...well...not good.

When you say give it another week before I get my money back, did the company tell you that you should see results (if you're going to) within two weeks?

I don't have Trophy Skin but I do have a Tanda. Blue light therapy takes weeks to show results. My skin didn't really clear up noticeably until the 5th week.

My trophy skin light should be here in a couple days and I've read alot of reviews saying you should use something that enourages cell turnover along with the blue light which kills the acne causing bacteria. I've been using tretinoin and and a light glycolic gel every other night. When the blue light comes in I'll do it once a day everyday. I'll keep this forum updated for future users!

I've been researching a lot of light products over the past few days. The first thing I will say is that Trophy Skin IS NOT FDA approved like they claim.......also, it appears that combining red and blue light is more effective than just blue light alone (which I think tanda is blue only as well). I found a product called dermastyle www.lumiport.com that combines red and blue light, but haven't seen any reviews on it yet...I think its new.
