Hey guys,

I... am really scared about the marks on my face. I'm not sure if they're permanent scars or just the side effects of treating the pimple. What i'm doing right now is washing my face with, Neutrogena Clear Power Cream wash and then a few minutes later using "Clearasil Daily Face Wipes" (active indredients: saliclic acid 1.89%w/v, ethanol 44.3%v/w) and it generally causes alot of my pimples ..scab.. things.. to fall off. I'm not sure what the mote appropiate term is other then.. pimple scab. You know, it covers your pimple...its essentially a scab imo. ANYWAY generally that leaves a red mark and is still kinda bumpy.... is that a permanent scar? sad.gif im really worried, cause i have them everywhere after using the product for so long ...
im FREAKING out ... later ill take a picture of the...pimples... but i cant right now

btw. these daily face wipes r like pads. u wipe ur face down with one side, and then wipe again with the other. generally though the textures pretty rough... and i read thats not good! which... could... explain why this stupid face has permanent scars everywhere!

god im worried...
(pss, i wasnt sure whether to put this thread here or in the general acne, so sorry if i got it wrong)

Judging by the title of your thread, I think it might be appropriate for the scar forum

Umm....you don't pick do you? Because if you're getting scabs and then you pick this is really going to increase the chance that you'll get a mark/scar. From what you've said these sound more like post inflammatory marks with should fade, but the fact that they're bumpy confuses me. Do they still have pus in?

Perhaps you should try Dan's Regimen? I'm sure the people who are on it will be able to suggest something

It's good that you're not picking, and yes I think it's normal for this scab to form with the wipes you're using. If the marks are still bumpy they may still have pus in, and as they're not flat I think that you might want to think about changing your treatment. I'm not sure how severe your pimples are, but when I started getting marks I saw my G.P. Going to the doctor might be an option, as they can perscribe you B.P (well I know they can in England, I assume it's the same in Australia?)

You might want to search around the International Regimen Supplies forum to see about obtaining B.P treatments in Australia too.

Oh, and pus coming out of spots isn't bad, it's getting the bacteria and white blood cells out, which is a good thing. Good luck! smile.gif

hey autumnrain,

i was on Dan's regimen a few months ago, and you can get all the products in Australia. smile.gif The 2.5% BP available here is called Benzac AC, it also comes in 5% and 10% i think. You can buy it otc at any chemist, no need to go to the doctors. If you are interested you could always order Dan's BP gel over the internet as well. I used cetaphil moisturiser and cleanser with the regimen, these are also at the chemist. Good luck!
