When I see somebody with acne scars I relate to them. I feel proud for them that they are out and about and not letting the scars stop there life. When I see people on tv shows or movies with scars I get inspired big time. One of my favorite actors is roddy piper because not only has he made some classic movies like they live, but he inspires me big time, so does bill murry. They are strong individuals. Same with musical hero's of mine, they inspire me with there music but also if they have scars. It makes me feel not alone with this and that you can make it to the top still with this if you fight hard enough. I dont have the strength yet, but hoping with there inspiration and time I earn the strength.
I agree with you bornunder,
Besides the everyday people who have a lot of strength despite scarring and go out in the mix of everday life, there are tons of actors I have noticed with very visible scarring that have not let it effect their lives and ambitions.
Like you, my personal favorite is Bill Murray. Maybe his scarring has given him the great snese of humor he has, and the deep humanity I sense in him.
Here is a short list of many actors with acne scarring, ranging from fairly significant to not too bad. None of these individuals has let the scarring stop them:
Ray Liotta, Edward James Olmos, Tommy Lee Jones, James Woods, Brad Pitt,
( Nicolas Cage, Keeanu Reeves , Mel Gibson, all have pockmark scars along their jawlines).
James
Brian Adams I think has/had them too (rolling type) scars. Also, Mike Myers, he had alot of them, but they've seem to be corrected. I remember watching him in an interview (MTV I think?) about 10 years ago, and he said since childhood he's always been "depressed" or "bothered" about his acne scars. At that time, I could see them. But I think he's managed to have them corrected as far as I can tell.
