Hey guys and girls i am really in need of some help. Over the last 3 months my acne has gotten progressively worse and wont stop at anything. I've tried pro activ and tried Doryx and some other meds to no avail. I'm booked in to the derm in 2 weeks and I'm worried that the derm won't be able to help me. I won't ask girls because i think i look hideous and i don't like people taking photos of me because the camera just outlines redness all over my face!
This is what i am looking like now and im starting to get blackheads on my shoulders and chin more... Please help me someone? Should i try ACV or something??? I think my main problem is my body is very hormonal at this point of my life turning 16 in 2 months... And i have oily scene and the acne genes from my dads side!

do you have your acne under control? once you do have very few active spots, you might wanna try exfoliating and moisturizing. even though you might be oily, this process is a necessary start to great skin.

Your acne isn't really that bad, actually! At least in my opinion.
You're quite a handsome guy!
But anyway..I believe the Derm appointment will be really beneficial for you. They'll probably get you on something like Minocyclin or something like that. That's what I took anyway, and am still taking. It's helped so much.
I tried proactiv too. Used it for a couple of years actually. I thought it was helping..but it really wasn't. It did nothing to improve my acne over the couple of years that I used it. I would suggest using a more gentle cleanser like Cetaphil for sensitive skin. It's a really great cleanser that softens the skin, and washes the dirt away.
And I would also reccommend ACV. A lot, actually. I've only been using it for a few weeks, but it's improved my skin dramatically. It *really* helps with redness.

Thanks for the reply Pippin, i hope the derm appointment is very beneficial for me as well I've been putting it off for ages trying to go down the natural road but sometimes it just doesnt work out. With the acv do u take 3 tablespoons in like a juice or something? I've heard many different ways of doing it.
Thanks guys i only have a couple of weeks before my appointment and hopefully all will go well.
Cheers Brenton

I'd just like to caution against the use of Cetaphil. To be precise, the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.
It contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which is a harsh skin surfactant, and three parabens. I broke out all over after I used it. In fact, I have the same problem as you on my cheeks and Cetaphil just compounded the problem.
It does work for others though. This is just my own personal experience.
OT: I have those awful red marks on my cheeks that just refuse to go away as well. The redness is slowly going away now that I'm applying AHA+, so you could try that. For some weird reason, I don't feel anything when I use the AHA+. It doesn't sting or anything like that. Even my first application was painless; it just felt like water to me.
