I will be the first to Post in this subforum.

This is great to have because Hypertrophic scars are not talked about much.

What does Everyone use to help their hypertrophic scarring? I hear silicon gel is good, and so are steroid injections.

Anyone have anything else?

These are difficult. I have them and I use a mixture of copper peptides, exfoliation, 20% glycolic peels. ive also done some profractional treatments and a chemical peel. Its not perfect but its a lot better.

i had a cyst about the size of a coin on the bottom right side of my face..
i have been using sterroid injections, and scar gel ( silicon ) for about 1 years now

about 2 and a half week ago..it filled up with water again inside... ><
does anyone know about cyst removal?
not just cutting the cyst open and removing the liquid inside...
im talking about the ones where they remove the cyst itself?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
my history of the cyst/hypertropic scar:
(not really good at this but bear with me)

first cyst appeared 1 year ago ( one on the bottom right on my face )
i remember it starting oozing these yellow stuff (nasty stuff)
but it filled up again

took injections till about 2-3 month later...had a temporary effect...
so i went to this hospital where they numb the cyst and cut open, remove cyst liquid and clean the inside...the cyst was flat..but then again it was temporary...

been on injections every 2 weeks and silicon gel ( search ebay ) eversince.

went on accutane for about 3 month

until 11 month later...it was actually 95% percent gone...
remember clearly that day i drank alcohol and bbq...came back cleansed myself,
used Green Cream Retinol Level 9 ( search ebay ) + silicon gel
and it broke preety bad that day when i woke up... ( acne on forehead and bottom left/ bottom right side + CYST FILLED UP AGAIN OH MY GODDDD )
but for some FUNNY reason it filled up again..oh my god was i stressed
took a shot yesterday and its getting better but i say its back to about 70%

about 100 people drank that day and i didnt even drink that much and im the only gettin a cyst size of a coin on my face... really dont understand ....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-drinks lots of water..3 cups morning, 3 at day and 3 at night
-1000-2000mg of vitamin C ( take 500mg morning, day and night etc)
-silicon gel
-sterroid injections

going to the hospital today to go back on accutane again...i was on it for 3 month,, which i think really helped the cyst from filling up
recently ive been having more acne breakouts then before..i think its because the accutane effect has worn off which lead to the cyst filling up again...

planning to go on a 6 month course this time probably 10-20 mg a day

from my experience i do understand that sterroid shots, silicon gel, accutane does help alot~

Q) what i dont understand is why its always on the same spot?????

i really do plan on removing the cyst completely but i dont have much knowldge on it so let me know
thanks

and if u guys have any questions, about acne, scar treatment, serum, creams ..jus ask and i'll try to help and answer from my best knowledge and experience

xxxxxx

Did you do the cortisone injection?I've seen many post here
It seems cortisone injection is quite suitable for hypertrophic scars.

yes i had about 30 shots of injection on the same hypertopic scar for about a year
bout 25 of them in the military...they dilute it so the concentration is very low..
had about 4 shots at a dermatogy..that defeiniely works though
im not too sure if its cortisone injection though

what is cortisone injection...? sterroid type is it?

im planning on removing it completely if it reappears... not jus the puss inside but the sac itself..
anyone know if this surgical treatment is done at a dermatogy? plastic surgeon?
i havent found one yet but i will ask next week when i visit
if anyone knows one in korea, seoul..please let me know
would really appreciate it
thanks a mil =)

-------------------------------------------------------------

currently on 20mg accutane
level 9 green cream ( retinol vitamin A )

Wont it kinda leave a scar if you remove it surgically? I would imagine such a procedure will require stitches.
