Day One

Well, I just finished doing the Regimen for the first time! Haha, I had a little problem with the Benzoyl Peroxide dispenser. I kept pumping it, but nothing was coming out. But yeah, I figured that out. It's brand new so yeah, you have to pump it a few times. Other than that, everything went fine! I'm so excited =) But I'm also freaking out about the fact that soon, I'll start purging. Knowing my luck it'll take like 3 months for it to be done. Ah well, I"ll handle it and will not stop!

I've been toying with the idea of posting pictures, but I've decided against it. I just spent like twenty minutes trying to take a picture of myself that didn't look butt ugly, but at the same time showed what kind of acne I had. I couldn't =p. I took some sectional pictures, (each cheek, and forehead) and they're okayish. I might put those up instead. But not now, as I need to get my morning started!

Quick question- when you guys first started the regimen, using the half a pump of BP, did it take you as long to apply all of it your face as it does Dan in the video? I did it relatively quickly, which makes me think that maybe I'm not taking enough time? I did it gently, and until it looked like everything had been spread in and all. So yeah, most likely the reason is I used a half pump and Dan is using two full pump. Just a question though!

Hope everyone is having a great day. =D

Hey Laurie, we started on the same day! Can't wait to see our progress. I didn't use the BP this morning, but I would assume it would take you less time to spread the smaller amount around that Dan's 2 pumps would. I understand not posting full pictures of yourself (I didn't), but I did post sectional views like you took. I have to update it with today's pictures. I think my pics are private (don't know how I did that), but I need to take that off so everyone can see. Well, best of luck. I'll keep checking in on you to see how it's going.

Haha, yeah we did! I actually just said sort of the same thing in a comment on your blog! Thanks for giving you input, and I will be following your progress too! Good luck!

Hi Laurie,

Congrats on giving the regimen a go. It worked for me years ago and I'm back on it again with high hopes of success. Stick with it, don't skip, and you'll do fine!

As for pics, don't worry about looking bad. My pic I posted a couple days ago will give a person nightmares shock.gif

Once again, good luck!

Sorry for such the long delay! I'm currently using Dan's products, the cleanser, treatment, and moisturizer.

Day Two(ish)

Well, as the dates will show, I stopped this very shortly after starting. Long story short, doing the regimen became a bit too much to do ritually every day and I slacked off along with other stuff (blog gives a teeny bit more detail).

But now I'm back, and determined to see it through. I've been doing the regimen for roughly 4-5 days so far. Mornings are hard for me to do but I'll deal with that. I'm 17, waking up early just doesn't come naturally.

I'm still using Dan's regiment, and am going to go to the 6 month marker before I get discouraged or anything, which I doubt I will because I was seeing lots of improvement with my skin last time. Not so many breakouts and stuff. Smoother skin. I'm not liking the slight medical smell that lingers but it's not of importance to me.

Also, after reading lots of articles online and the messages on here, I have decided to add fish oil and vitamin c supplements, (1000mg and 500mg respectively). Twice a day for the fish oil and once a day for vitamin c.

And I'm working on getting "before" pictures up as recently I've been feeling a bit more confident and not caring. Haha although since I've started the regimen, any pictures I take won't be exactly before, but oh well!

Wish me luck and good luck to all of you beautiful people =)

Day 7

Well I've been bad, I completely skipped Friday. In my defense, I was up all of Thursday night doing a project, and Friday was just an awful day for me emotionally, so when I got back home, I went into my room and crashed. And I mean crash- I got home at 2:15, fell asleep around that time and woke up around 11 when my brother and mother barged into my room, forcing me to be awake. It was actually fun, I showed/let him have my old gameboy. He's almost 3 and a half so it was a novelty. But back on topic- I woke up around 11, then went back to sleep at 1:15ish. So most of Friday is a blank.

And I still haven't been doing the regimen in the morning- although that terrible Friday morning I was up so I washed my face. No time for treatment so I just applied the moisturizer. And then today I had SATs at 7:30, and I was just like "screw it." I really didn't need to stress myself out by getting up earlier. And to top my badness off- I went to volunteer at this Model T Mustang show (AWESOME, loved the classic cars, I was legit drooling over them) and it was sunny, and I had to sit there for over an hour at a table. No sunblock or anything. Oh well, I'll bear the consequences.

Since I've been so very lax with the regimen I am starting to break out and/or purging. I've got an emerging zit on my chin that's feeling a bit painful and one on the side of my face/cheekbone area that has been there for a few days.

Still I digress! Time to reach my goal.

Hope you guys all had a great day!

Day 14

So I've been getting better about doing the regimen. Mainly I've been doing it at least once a day, but like I said, I'm getting better about doing it twice a day. It helps that I can see the progress. My zits are dying of pretty quickly. I'm going to see if I can order some AHA soon to deal with the hyperpigmentation (it helps with that right?) as that's my main issue. I've got some actual scars, most likely ice pick but I couldn't care less about those currently. I want CLEAR skin, it doesn't necessarily have to be perfect.

I've put some pictures up in my gallery of my skin recently. Not so much progress pictures, as beginning pictures although the zit on my chin is less noticeable imo. I'll figure out how to put pictures in my log, and then I'll probably do that every week!

I was looking around and I saw that ACV (apple cider vinegar) has been used for helping along hyperpigmentation. I thought that I would buy some of Dan's AHA to help out, but now I'm torn as I already have ACV in the house. Would any of you recommend one over the other for effective reduction of the marks?

Thanks!

Hey Laurie Jay! How are you doing on the regimen?! I just thought I would check in with you...I noticed that you are having problems *(or were having problems) with sticking to a routine 2 times a day with all 3 products. I am having the same issue with sticking to it...and really having the time.

I'm starting to clear up some though so I need to become more disciplined with it smile.gif

hope you are doing well!
