yesterday i put a plaster on the cyst on my chin, and pus came out after that. so it has went down pretty much. now theres 2 actives on my chin and thats all. the rest are all fading red marks or reddish spots that appeared overnight due to sleeping late. looking slightly better, when i look in the mirror i dont get freaked out like i used to during the initial breakout phase.
o and i feel really tired after getting bumped up to 30 mg, maybe just coincidence?? haha

whiteheads on my chin. or small little acne. about 4 of them. the huge one from few days back is healing. with a darkish blood clot on it.( i think that fits the description) everywhere else has pretty much no actives as of now.
had a really bad headache from days 29 to 32 and some wierd side effects since upping my dose. but after a nice nap today, its all gone.

drank a can of coke today. approximately 2 hours ago. ive never ever finished a can of coke since a few years ago. I basically make it a point to totally avoid junk food and drinks altogether, but with accutane and all i thought it might not cause any damage on my skin. so no major breakout in a few days. For now,im 100% sure my IB phase is over. From now on, its going to be an easier battle with accutane. My skin looks almost the same as yesterday, few tiny pimples on the chin. red marks fading everywhere else. improving everyday. i cant be more happier.

Im using the gentle one. it comes in a new casing. silvery colour compared to the black and white translucent casing from before. hope it helps you:)
hey man! goodluck! 30 mg is a good dosage. sometimes the lower doses work better than the higher doses especially for milder acne like yours. See how it goes, if good then maybe i will consider bumping it up. I will keep up with ur thread and see how u progress too!

AHHHH THERE SSCHOOL TOMORROW. MY hair is freaking long and uncut for months. and i got a few tiny-medium pimples on my chin that has been there for the last 5 days. these type of pimples take at least 10 days to go away, stubborn spots! which is precisely why i havent gone to the hairdressers to do up my hair, rebond and cut it real nice. because i still have actives on my face. Oh well, another boring week of lessons starting tomorrow. maybe after next weekend, i will have my little make over with zero actives on my face.
My skin looks typically the same each day for the last 3-4 days. tiny splash of pimples on my chin, that are SLOWLY vanishing, and some red marks from acne dating back 2 weeks ago. no traces of red mark of acne belonging to a more historic timezone of 3-4 weeks ago. doin good, but no changes like i expected over the weekend like the healing of my chin. my nose with blackheads is a little flaky as well. anyone experience flaky nose?

currently, i only have one shrinken active on my chin. red marks are visible on my face, mostly around my mouth area, and my skin has a pinkish white tone, due to not being exposed to the sun for too long, but i am sure they will fade away soon, its just a matter of time.
I jus wanna say that accutane really works, and even though i have like 5 months left in my course, i am already seeing really visible results, though its not perfectly smooth yet. 5 months could probably do a lot of good on my skin, i cant wait , really really cant wait to be off accutane.
side effects are currently non-oiliness, i used to blot or wash my face every so often, but now, my face is totally oil free. my lips feel okay even without applying anything on them, albeit abit dry and chapped but to me its absolutely tolerable, i dont even feel like i am on accutane right now.

AHH i accidentally pressed the back button, so my entire long message got deleted!!!!!!!!!!
nvm i shall type it out again.
currently, two words to describe my skin: NO ACTIVES. Its been this way for around 3-4 days already, so lets hope it continues to last. still got like 127 days left in my accutane treatment.
I notice that unlike the past, where i never dared look into mirrors, im looking at myself in mirrors in bright lighting in public shopping centres, etc, expecting to be dissapointed with what i see, but what i see surprise me, cause my skin looks better than before.
For those of you taking accutane and are in the initial breakout period or ur skin is doing crap. breaking out everywhere, dont lose hope.!! cause thats what accutane does, bringing out the acne (for most people) and then restoring ur skin to an even better condition than before. taking out and bringing it in. My acne was crazy 2 -3 weeks ago. ITS seriously crazy. but the marks from that initial breakout has totally left my face. i can even remember how i looked like during the IB phase, it was that bad. but now that my face is starting to improve i am glad i followed through with what i started, cause many people were telling me to stop accutane cause it was causing me unbelievable pain, peeling skin , mad breakouts, ulcers to the point i cant even talk, so yeah it was worth it for me.
So yeah, even if i break out in the near future, i know that the acne will eventually like go away.
just bought cetaphil moisturizing lotion yesterday and it works good.!!

However i scratched my face real bad yesterday. i was watching a movie and i felt my face having 2 tiny little bumps. so i scratched and scratched and scratched for a solid 2 hours during the movie. and i peeled off some layer of skin without realising it. white translucent layers of skin. and my skin looks pretty crappy today. two reddish marks. one of them looks like a scar( since i removed the thin outermost layer of skin leaving some indented area) but i doubt i will scar from scratching my own face, so it will probably heal in a few days.
ahh heck! i miss my yesterday's skin already. haha.

Good luck to you, young man. I'm on Accutane, too and I also start around the same time with you. Right now, which is my fifth week, I guess I'm coping with my initial breakout. So it's good to hear that you have survived from it successfully (as it grows some hope in my case)
