it really helps adopting a positive attitude towards acne u know? before going to school i looked into the mirror and was thinking i look like crap. haha but after going to school, my friends talked to me as if my face was totally alright. paper was okay not too bad.=)
anyway no new breakouts so far. red marks are healing pretty fast from the IB. im trying to rub them everyday with moisturizer to heal it quicker. they usually last one week tops. my skin heals pretty fast or maybe its normal.
getting ready for second round of breakouts..... or hopefully not LOLS.
haha my lips are freaking dry but i just leave them alone most of the time. and i got like ulcers. maybe its related to accutane so its hard to smile or talk to my friends . sux . on the good side, the red marks are healing the acne has stopped breaking out temporarily.

The cysts/hardspots that I got around the corner of my eyes and my forehead, well, those fuckers would last a couple of weeks, and once they were gone they were GONE. No redmarks at all left over.
I am not completely sure if it heals redmarks or if it is your body. I believe it does help and makes them fade faster, but it depends on what type of breakout you have. If it's a cyst or closed comedone, it takes so much longer than a normal whitehead mark to go away. My experience has been around 2-4 weeks for a closed comedone or cyst to go away COMPLETELY. Everyones skin is different though.
I also have a dark skin tone, so they are hidden with the right amount of sun. As of now I am getting WAYYY too much sun and they are showing up more. If I was just getting a little I would be getting a nice tan and they wouldn't show up much.
Fuck the Sun.
Edit: My forehead almost never breaks out, and I got ONE bad spot so far, and it was all the way back in month 1. I still have a little hard spot that is visible.. It still has not gone away, and I don't know why. I am going to see what the doctor thinks next time I see her.
wow my IB sounds like urs. i breakout like mad all over my mouth area chin, moustache area, sides of mouths. its been 2 weeks and it has stopped for now. around the corners of my nose as well!!! super breakout . wierdly, everything that broke out around my nose has dissapeared, leaving no trace.
oh and ive done some research, the accutane apparently doesnt heal red marks, but it prevents acne , indirectly allowing the red marks to heal without new ones to take their place. thats a goood thing if ur body heals quickly.
geez i got one closed comedone on my forehead. its taking forever to go away. 3 cysts on my right cheek (where i never ever break out before accutane), 2 of them have healed and are reddish scabby stuff that will heal and one of them is like a red patch.
alright i better go get some studying done. last major paper tomorrow.
anyway it sounds like you are doing pretty well:) try to avoid the sun more, maybe wear a cap? haha just a suggestion

for me,it was initially a cyst or comedone but it keeps reducing in size everyday until a red patch is left.
u mean u just got a red patch by itself? im not to sure about that one though.
got like two of those patches on my right cheek right now. hope it quickly heals.
thanks man! just be positive when u go to college and just act like u would without acne around people, or at least try to haha even though its hard. it wasnt as bad as i thought for me going back. ur skin will definitely clear up, its just a matter of time:)

have 2 small white heads that just popped out of nowhere. it doesnt bother me, but i need to keep reminding myself not to touch or pick at my face.
whats really killing me now is the ulcers near my teeth so its always constantly pain as its always touching my teeth. when i walk, it hurts. when i talk, it freaking hurts so much. lets not even talk about smiling, it will probably kill me. i wonder if ulcers are side effects of accutane or if anyone has experienced them while on accutane. searches on the internet returned nothing. this cant be. i am sure its a side effect of accutane. anyway, being very paranoid about the ulcers, and if anyone has experienced it while on accutane please let me know!! thanks!

My ulcer really hurts still. dont know why it wont go away. my face looks kinda retarded with a hurt expression all the time cause its so hard to talk or express myself, damn ulcer please heal.
face doing okay except for the two whiteheads i squeezed has become inflamed and reddish. that will teach me to leave my face alone.
so one shrinking comedone on my forehead,2 inflamed whiteheads on my right moustache area(fyi, i dont have a moustache), and one small pimple on my right moustache area. its wierd that almost all my breakouts recently have been on the moustache area. i think its the hair growth during puberty thats causing my acne over there. healing red marks on my chin, most importantly, right side of face which broke out really crazily a few days ago is healing with reddish marks.
my hair is growing long and out of shape. but im just going to leave it looking like crap when im in school. i dont really care how i look now when im in school and around people. i wanna stall the good stuff for later on.
and after my face has healed hopefully, 1-2months from now, im going to get a cool long haircut with good skin and surprise everyone!:) really looking forward to that.

the little pimple on my chin has decided to flare up abit . nothing much new besides that.
anyway the ulcer really hurts, fked me up badly today at school, cause i came in late for the exam, everyone staring at me, and i couldnt ask the teacher where my seat was. and when it came to collecting the script, he asked me something but i couldnt reply. sucks.
gonna use the weekend to recover at home from the breakouts and ulcer.

Day 25
stuff from last week are fading especially the horrible red marks on my right cheek. its like 90% gone. now breaking out slightly on the chin. argh.
im using a tea tree oil based blemish fader from body shop on red marks. i wonder if it is okay to do that while on accutane. anyone tried any blemish fading creams while on accutane( except for retin a of course)? i dont know if its a good thing to do, please advise me, gurus out there! thanks

stick to a gentle/mild cleanser, and the only thing i can recommend for the redmarks while on tane is jojoba oil or emu oil.

just went to see the derm today. she said im doing good, and she asked me if i could take a higher dose. so i expected 40 mg. but when i went down to the pharmacy it was 30 mg.
now im like super puzzled because i forgot to listen carefully to the pharmacist. u see ive got a 10 mg and 20 mg pill daily. i dont know if i should take them one at night one in the morning or both together at night.
cause i know some people take 40 mg (20 in afternoon and 20 at night). but mines like 30 so its abit confusing. please advise me! thanks!
