Hello, I'm new to this site, I wanted to add to this post even though it's been a while. I've always had some monthly spots throughout my life and had very few superficial scarring, last year I had a very stressful year and at 30 years old suffered terrible cystic acne resulting in massive scarring. With going from one extreme to the other I was really depressed and didn't leave the house for a whole year, I am now going out and resuming a normal life, February this year I purchased a 1mm roller and used twice a week, didn't see an improvement until August, I then purchased a 0.5 as I believed the scars were still there they had just lessened in depth, I used this 5 days a week and added avene diacneal before and after rolling 20mins later Bepanthan nappy ointment, in the morning clinique soap, clarifying lotion 4 followed by dramatically different moisturiser. I take vitamin E and C supplements and sometimes chop a lemon in half and rub on my face, leave some pulpy on your skin for 5 mins for a home made mask. Now I have a 0.3 mm as scars are getting shallower I can literally see my skin knitting together. I think starting with a longer needle and gradually getting smaller you are working with the scar, I wish I had taken pictures but cameras were no friend of mine!
