okay so i just recieved my lactic acid peel from MUAC (makeupartistschoice) and i did a patch test.. now im just waiting to check on it tomorrow to see if i have any negative reactions to it. I stopped applying my benzaclin / clindoxyl and i got sunscreen on hand. Friday im going to buy this Neostrata level 3 kit, which contains a 10% aha with spf 15 and 10% aha with no added spf. So i will update my results.
OH i forgot to mention that i will be starting off 40% lactic acid. I will be doing it once per week for 2 weeks then move on to every 4 days.
WISH me luck guys =D smile.gif

Use caution with the aloe vera as it can cause a contact dermatitis reaction in some people.

Plain old petrolatum jelly is much safer to use after a peel. What did the directions state to do?

HOLY COW!!!!
its been what like 5 hours? and my marks look pink .. before they were red.. like RED RED !
And this is my first peel =D AHH im so happy !
I was wondering what to get after i finish my lactic acid ...
Should i go for glycolic? or just keep going up %'s with lactic acid.
And please dont recommend using a TCA peel because well... i wouldn't wear sunscreen on a regular basis and i cant take time off of school .

How did it go after some time?
Did the peeling help fading your marks?
Have you done any more?

HI, do you know if acid peels (Glycolic, Lactic, Salicylic, TCA) have actual permenant results on ice pick scars, by permenant i mean NEVER come back- ive read somewhere they come back after 6 months and its not permenant but some have claimed a complete clearance of scars--maybe it is different for each person idk? thanks

It was a 40% lactic you used, right? Did you have any downtime on that?

Yepp twice a week and amazing results.
AND no downtime just a bit of red skin, but it faded in the morning.

I'm almost positive that petroleum jelly would clog my pores. I'm starting these peels soon too, and was gonna use aloe afterwards....now I'm stuck.

Anyone have ideas on what to use?

I really want to do this but have been reading that it can cause discoloration if you're on birth control...
