Hi, I have a question for you ladies out there who had experience with either Yasmin, Spironolactone, or both. Am I right to say that the acne will be back once you stop this drugs? I am asking on behalf of my gf because she is experiencing moderate acne ever since she went for abortion. And it seems like her acne was due to hormone changes after abortion because she never really have oily skin in the past. And are both this drugs actually Birth Control Pills. What are the side effects that comes along with it?

out of curiosity, did she get pregnant because her birth control failed? i know 2 people that got pregnant accidentally while on yaz/yasmin.


ooooor did she get pregnant because she came off birth control? i really hope that's not the case, because that's quite foolish on both your parts. but yes, it's likely that coming off the yasmin and spiro caused her to break out. i'm sure that the abortion could have contributed too.

Yasmin/Yaz is a Birth Control pill, Spiro is not. Side effects for BCP's could probably be numerous but as far as coming off of them, I know a lot of women break out badly when they stop taking them. As far as Spiro goes, I'm not real sure but I'm sure there's a good possibility of acne returning when you come off of it.

I hope your girlfriend is okay, abortions I'm sure for any reason, are not easy.
