my doctor just prescribed me desogen (birth control) for my acne.

i've been on tri sprintec for years and it hasn't helped w/acne at all. the only time my face is clear is the week of my period.

has anyone used this? did it help with you acne? any advice would help so much! thanks

i'm going to start next month, after i finish this months of tri sprintec.

I'm taking Apri (generic Desogen). It didn't really HELP my acne, it just didn't make it WORSE, like many bcps can do. I was taking TRI-Sprintec prior to taking Apri, and had horrible luck with it. I think my body just works better on a monophasic pill rather than a triphasic. What really helped me was the combination of Apri and Spiro (with the addition of Minocycline at the beginning). Just remember that it can take at least 3 months for your body to adjust to a new bcp, so try to be patient

well i guess it wouldn't hurt to give this pill a try. i just don't want to break out worse ya know? i'm sure u understand lol. thanks anyone else try this pill?
