Hi everyone,
I'm 27 and had acne since puberty. (More details in my introductional post).

My acne is quite wide spread: face, neck, chest, arms, back.
It helps a lot to have a hubbie who doesn't mind and tells me every day I'm beautifull. wub.gif
Also I find my skin VERY itchy sometimes and I can't keep my nails of it... that surely doesn't help.
I have very oily skin and hair, I guess its just genetic.

I decided to try Dan's Regimen with acne.org products and I do the procedure as per checklist.
Acne.org cleanser+BP+Mosituriser twice a day and I'm determined to follow the regimen precisely.

Alright, here I go, Day 1. 28/02/2009
Had no problems with applying the products. Dan's products are nice to use. I like the scentless clenser, and the super light moisturiser. I don't like to moisturer's scent at all, a bit of almonds or marzipan. Since I put it on my face I smell it all day, pretty annoing, I don't even have appetite because of it. But that might me just a positive side effect? eusa_dance.gif

Wish me luck, I'll keep you posted!

OK, Day 2.
No big news so far. Not that I expected them, but I guess is I was allergic I would know by now.
My skin might be more oily and I have the feeling that current zits are healing a tiny bit quicker than before. Also the pores on my face are visibly smaller.
I'm not an excellent observer because I'm always in doubt that the above could have any other reason. We'll see as time passes.
I even got used to the smell by now, I only notice it when I'm applying the moisturiser.
Only disadvantage: I find myself checking my skin in the mirror all the time which draws my attention to my skin's condition and I end up touching and popping... confused.gif I'm stopping that, I promise!!

Day 3 02/03/2009

Bye-bye to my pale-green shirt: bleached in the underarms... I thought this is a bit strange cause I only sweated there and I don't use BP there. I use it all around though (my sides, back, arms) so I guess it kind of spreads over my skin as I move or so. Anyway, I always wanted to start batik. biggrin.gif I let you know how it turns out. I'm just afraid if this will happen to all my shirts??? Will I have to wear white the rest of my life??? confused.gif

I think my skin takes the BP quite OK, except around my mouth and nose. BUT the reason could be that I cried yesterday and blew my nose. Now I see what Dan means when he sais to avoid irritation. idea.gif I'm confident this will go away, I didn't put BP on that part of my face this morning.

End of Day 3
The irritation around my nose and mouth got worse although I skipped this mornings BP. I'm allread and flaky, feels like a bad sunburn. I skip BP again this evening, I think my shin is inflamed to much right now. I wait till it heals a bit and will start BP again in smaller dosis first. Every other part of my body seems to take the BP OK.

Day 4 03/03/2009
The redness is a bit better this morning, not that itchy and flaky anymore, BUT it is more wide spread than yesterday evening. Now it is on my whole face. At the same time I have to say that there are no new blackheads on my nose and chin and my pores are visibly smaller!
The rest of my body seems to love to BP, there are clearly less new zits and blackheads coming! I LOVE IT!

Day 5 04/03/2009
The irritation on my face is much better now, though still itchy. Also I can feel the same itch starting all over my back and chest and arms. I try to use less BP for a couple of days and I start to apply the BP on my face again this evening, in a very small dosis and see if hte redness comes again.

Day 6 05/03/2009
Although all areas treated with BP are irritated and itchy a bit I countinue BP because under the irritation my skin in much better, no new zits or blackheads and old ones are healing much quicker.
I might skip BP for tonight though to give my skin a chance to heal. A don't mind a couple of new zits as a result of it, I'm in no particular hurry since my acne is more than 10 years old, I think I can be patient till my skin gets used to BP.

Day 7 06/03/2009
I did my laundry today. The 2 shirts that were bleached in the underarms are now bleached all over! Doeas anyone know the reason for this?
And my white bra turned into a creamy colour on me while wearing!!??
Anyway, I went shopping yesterday and bought myself 5 white shirts... confused.gif I plan to wear them under my normal shirts. Let's see how it works.
If I can't find a sollution to this bleaching problem I might try to apply BP during the night only.
BTW my skin is like yesterday, little bit red, itchy and flaky everywhere but I can cope with that.

Day 8 07/03/2009
My skin is so itchy that it is driving me nuts! I already skipped the last treatments to give it a chance to heal but it is just getting worse. I'm going to buy some jojoba oil today and see how it goes with that.
I start to believe that this BP stuff is too agressive for my skin. I always though I had a tough skin, never had any sensivity problems till now. Anyway will try to jojoba and let you know.
I don't want to give up, because I see that I have a lot less zits and blackheads.

Day 9 08/03/2009

Ok, here I am today, sitting infrond of the mirror, scratching my skin off.
Sorry guys, I'm giving up.
Although I see it working, the side effects are too much for me.
My acne is bad enough but I got used to living with it during the past 10+ years. I have a life, my acne is not keeping me from living it. Since I started DKR I had to adjust my morning and evening rituals, my clothing, my activities, etc to it, and I'm suffering from really bad itchiness on my whole upper body. So I'm sitting here and I came to the comclusion that right now DKR is keeping me from living my life.
I don't regret trying DKR!
There is a chance that I might even give it another try in later life (for example if I start working from home biggrin.gif )
I will also recommend it to people who are desperate to get rid of their acne.
Thanks for the support and answering my questions in other topics, good luck everyone and goodbye! eusa_hand.gif

I'm selling what's left from my kit, in case anybody is interested:
