cool.gif Morning;
~ Gently wash face in temperate water then apply warm sea salt water all over face. Let dry then wash off after 30 minutes.
~ after face drys apply generous amount of BP to pimples and then moisturizer over whole face.

cool.gif Evening;
~ wash effected areas of body(except face) with H&S classic clean, let sit for 5 minutes or so and wash off.
~wash face with basis sensitive skin bar and apply BP when skin is dry.

cool.gif Daily I:
~ Try not to touch my face or effected skin areas.
~ drink lots and lots of water.
~ Get plenty of sleep and try to go to bed before midnight.
~ get fresh air everyday
~ take B vitamins, cod liver oil and magnesium and zinc.
~ For breakfast I eat 1 severing of oatmeal with turmeric, black pepper, cayenne pepper, cinnamon and ginger mixed with small amount of molasses.

cool.gif Things I will do better at or improve:
~ I will exercise daily.
~ I will stay away from as much processed and junk food as I can.
~ I will go to bed early and get up at a set time

cool.gif Mental health:
~ I am making a point of improving/correcting my thinking habits and my moods.
I not longer beat my self up about my skin or tell my self how ugly and worthless I am.
Instead I make a point of staying 100% positive and encouraging. I always tell my self good things about my self or my skin.
~ While falling alseep at night and during spare moments in the day I "smile" in my whole body. I go through my whole body and giving it a feeling of joy and "smiling". Hard to explain but it's a simple "meditation" I read about. It makes me feel so happy and loving myself.
~ I mentally picture myself with clean, beautiful, glowing, smooth skin. I try very hard not to let myself think of my self or see my self with acne, rather in my mind I have the skin I want and I SEE it in my mind when I think of my skin.
~ I'm working on keeping my emotions more level and positive. Just trying to even out a bit and stay more calm, relaxed and joyful. To be thankful and loving rather then give in to allot of negative or damaging emotions or thoughts.

cool.gif Things I'd like to try;
~ Full body sea salt soaks.

cool.gif Morning;
~ Apply BP to any pimples. Only wash face if I think I need to.

cool.gif Evening;
~Wash face with sea salt and let sit for 30 minutes, then rinse off, dry and apply BP on any pimples and commonly affected areas as "prevention".

Every few days maybe start doing every other day;
~ wash effected areas of body(except face) with H&S classic clean, let sit for 5 minutes or so and wash off.

cool.gif Daily I:
~ Try not to touch my face or effected skin areas.
~ drink lots and lots of water.
~ Get plenty of sleep and try to go to bed before midnight.
(I REALLY need to get to bed earlier!!)
~ get fresh air everyday
~ take B vitamins, cod liver oil and magnesium and zinc.
(I ran-out of cod liver oil. I am also going to start trying to eat more fish each week)
~ For breakfast I eat 1 severing of oatmeal with , cayenne pepper, cinnamon and ginger mixed with small amount of molasses.(I dropped the turmeric, black pepper). I also don't always eat oatmeal, just depends on if I feel like it or not).
~ It looks like I forgot to mention that I take Celery Seed tea everyday. I was taking it twice a day but now I only take it once a day.

cool.gif Things I will do better at or improve:
~ I will exercise daily.
(I've been walking everyday and am working up to power or speed walking, yay!).
~ I will stay away from as much processed and junk food as I can.
~ I will go to bed early and get up at a set time

cool.gif Mental health:

I not longer beat my self up about my skin or tell my self how ugly and worthless I am.
Instead I make a point of staying 100% positive and encouraging. I always tell my self good things about my self or my skin.
(wow, I've actually been sticking to this! In fact my perception of myself and acne has changed allot for the better!).

~ I've started some daily breathing exercises that I think are wonderful, maybe they will help.

cool.gif Things I'd like to try;
~ Full body sea salt soaks. (I still want to try this, I think it would help me allot but I don't have the extra money right now. Maybe I will just make do with apply the sea salt water to the affected areas like I do for my whole face).
~ I want to put together a simple, healthy, high fiber and veggie, fruit diet that is an anti-inflammatory diet. I am looking to to Dr. Weil's anti-inflammatory diet.

So update on my progress, well I'm pretty happy! I don't get the big, under the skin, really inflamed pimples any more that were so hard to deal with and heal. So that alone is really great.
Also I am clearing up allot on my body. I think the sea salt water would help even more.
My face is looking good and I have cleared up my chin line! Really over all if things keep improving as they are I will be totally clear!! eusa_clap.gif

Well good luck. That's a very interesting breakfast. All of those spices are very beneficial, although I can't imagine what that combination tastes like. But I know Cayenne is often good with sweet things like fruit and chocolate.

Turmeric is good in legumes like lentils and a pinch added to tomato juice. And of course, curry and mustard, as it's a main component of those.

And you should try epsom salts rather than or in addition to sea salt, especially if you like baths. You would definitely sleep well afterwards. The magnesium will get absorbed through the skin. And the sulfur is very beneficial topically. Unfortunately, I don't like baths.

LOL, yep, interesting breakfast but it tastes good!! biggrin.gif Thanks for the food tips!

I'll try the epsom salts apart from my sea salt baths, especially since I've been upping my exercise program... been getting sore!

cool.gif Evening;
~Wash face with sea salt and let sit for 30 minutes, then rinse off, dry and apply BP on any pimples [b]and occassionally apply to commonly affected areas as "prevention" if I think I need to. Apply 99% aloe vera gel to skin if needed. I love Aloe Vera gel! It's great stuff.

Every few days ;
~ wash effected areas of back with H&S classic clean, let sit for 5 minutes or so and wash off.
I no longer use H&S on my chest because my chest is looking great and the H&S was starting to irritate my skin.
~ Full body sea salt soaks. This is very helpful to my skin.

cool.gif Daily I:
~ Try not to touch my face or effected skin areas.
~ drink lots and lots of water.
~ Get plenty of sleep and try to go to bed before midnight.
(I still REALLY need to get to bed earlier!!)
~ get fresh air everyday
~ I exercise daily.
In fact I've been increasing my exercise and it's making my feel soooo great and my skin is looking so much healthier!
~ take B vitamins, magnesium and zinc.
I will be starting a new zinc supplement as well as B6, B complex, Omeg 3 and turmeric extract.

~ Celery Seed tea once everyday.

cool.gif Things I will do better at or improve:
~ I will stay away from as much processed and junk food as I can.

So an update on my overall progress, well I had a setback recently as I got really, really stressed out as well as allot of inflammation in my body from the strong weather swings, plus I ate allot of junk all combined caused a breakout with 3 large painful under the skin pimples. cry.gif
So I've been trying to get back on track and otherwise my skin is looking very good and is improving still. I am going to start on some new supplements soon which I hope will help as well as the turmeric extract supplement which should help allot with inflammation. Also I've been focusing on getting allot more serious exercise which will help my circulation and to keep inflammation under control.

It's been a while since I've updated, around 6 months actually!

I've had some successes and some setbacks. Over all I stuck to bettering my mental habits, fresh air and atleast some exercises daily and eating better. But still when ever my acne seemed right about cleared and over with, BAME! ninja.gif It counter-attacked and came back with a vengeance.eusa_wall.gif

So I found a naturopath doctor and started on some supplements, got a full course of blood work done and got food intolerance testing done. I ended up having a TON of food intolerances. So I followed my new diet that avoided all food I was intolerant to and a bunch of supplements and a probiotic for my general health and to bring down my inflammation for almost 3 months with improvement but still it was clear my health problems weren't being addressed... my acne was still like fighting a living organism rather than clogged pores. badgrin.gif

So I did more research and started on a anti-candida diet. On a follow up visit to my ND she confirmed my health problems source was in deed Candida albicans.

Now only a week and a half later on this anti-candida diet plus still following my intolerance avoidance diet and supporting my body with fish oil, a multivitamin and soon I'll start an oil blend that will kill off the candida and my probiotics (I ran out of my last bottle about 2 weeks ago), my whole body inflammation levels are dropping steadily DAILY, my skin is under control and looking better all the time! eusa_dance.gif

I'm convinced I've finally found the root cause of my acne and other health problems and my doctor is also.

I just wanted to let others on this board know and encourage them. Maybe they should look into Candida, a simple google search will bring lots of results up.
