Hi everyone! I'm 26 years old and started getting cystic acne when I was about 20. My skin was pretty decent growing up so this was really getting me down. Over the past few years, I've wasted a couple thousand trying to fix my skin but everything just seemed to stop working after a while. Even though my acne was pretty moderate, any breakout would leave me with new scars. Microdermabrasion treatments helped the scars quite a bit but they are still noticeable. I knew I would be wasting my money if I tried anything more drastic and figured I should get the breakouts to stop first. So I decided to ask my dermatologist about accutane and after finding out that I had no plans for children in the near future she let me start it. I've been taking it for 3 full months and my skin is already clear! I still have 3 more months to go so I'm just hoping this will be my cure!
