hi, i decided to join as i was tired of lurking. i am mostly clear (90%) of my horrible spots now and am looking at ways to improve a few indented scars.
my face didn't start breaking out until i started college about 6 years ago, maybe it was hormonal or stress related, i don't know, but it was very annoying being in my early 20s and dealing with red spots everywhere. i went on retin a and oral antibiotic, but had not so great reaction from either. changed docs who then put me on tazorac. it worked ok for me but i didn't like the permanent red/oily face. eventually i decided to give up the high strength rx and go for otc stuff like cetaphil and bp.
my skin has calmed down a lot since then from 10-15 big spots on my face at one time. now i just have maybe 2-3 and clogged pores, but i still have an oily face. i don't have terrible scarring, stretched pores on my cheeks and about 10 icepicks altogether plus a couple chicken pox scars. so i am looking at ways to just treat those individual scars.
