Hi, I'm Lizzie. :]
I'm going on 17 , I've had acne for about six years on my face/back. (Sigh.)
I go through really severe bouts of breakoutss..
and then my face will be good-ish (with makeup) for about a week .
Still never completely clear thoughh, and I get a lot of lingering darkspots.
I got a job when I was 15 and decided to try Proactiv, which worked better than anything else I'd tried, but wasn't a miracle by any means. I just started using Exposed skincare a couple weeks ago, and so far it hasn't done much. But I'm going to stay with it for awhile and see.
If this is a total fail, next I'll try The Regimen ?
So hello everyone :)
PS. I do a lot of touching/picking , and I really need to stop! Tips?
Sigh.

Welcome aboard! Hmmm, when tempted to touch or pick, think of all those icky germs invading your fingers and hiding under your finger nails-ugh! Good luck!

I knoww , it's such a bad habit!
I'm trying my hardest not to touch.. -crossesfingers-
Just curious, is Dan's product working well for you so far ?
If we have similar skin conditions it's useful to know . =)
Did it start working immediately or really gradually for yourself personally?

Dan's regimen isn't a quick fix. It usually takes people a few months to see the full effect of being on The Regimen. A lot of people seem to get discouraged early on, because there is a period in the begining where your face has to adjust to the Benzoyl Peroxide, and that can mean dry, flaky, pinkish skin. Plus a lot of people go through a few cycles of purging before they get really clear, and that can be upsetting as well, especially for people that just expect to start The Regimen and--BAM!--be clear.
I've been on The Regimen since June, though, and I've been consistently clear since August. It may be a bit rough in the beginning, but it's definitely worth it.
Good luck to you, lizzabeth. : )

Get on the regimen now, and don't stray for at least 2 or 3 months. You may think its not working as you are getting new breakouts etc, but don't worry, it is slowly and surely(unlike others) doing its job and will get you clear eventually.

Hi Lizzie!
I've dealt with acne far too long and the best way to stop picking is to develop a new habit. It's going to be tricky but you can't zone out.
I scratch when I'm anxious or stressed so I fiddle with my necklace or doodle. It helps keep my hands AWAY from my face like a charm. When you catch yourself picking wash your hands and do something that will keep your hands away from your face and concentrated on what you are doing.
I've started baking a lot more (you don't want goopy cake batter on your face - HA!) and I try to set up a routine where I do all of my face touching through cleansing and moisturizing. When you distract yourself through baking, gardening, jogging ,etc. you lose the urge to pick at your skin. It can take a while but your skin looks so much worse when you pick at it. I would also stay AWAY from mirrors! They should be kept in the bathroom and with the door shut. You should be in front of a mirror to brush your teeth, wash your face, and to put on makeup or style your hair. That's it.
I hope it helps.
