Hi all, I really hope someone can help me here. For those of you who have taken diane 35 more then once please share your experience wih me cause I'm getting very frustrated. I took it and it helped my acne then went off and a few months later my skin has gone crazy, so now I'm back on. I'm just wondering, for those who have been in a similar situation, when restarting the treatment does it take longer or shorter for your acne to get back under control?

You're not alone. When I was on Diane for about seven years, I had to stop it and my acne came back with a vengeance until I went onto Spiro. That's hormonal acne for you. Once you try to stop the treatment, it just keeps coming back.

Thank you for replying. Did you ever take a break from diane and go back on during those seven years? And if so, what was your experience with restarting the treatment? Thanks so much for replying, any input is appreciated cause I'm very frustrated with the state of my skin and I'm in a hurry to get it looking normal again soon for my best friend's wedding, argh.

I never took a break during the seven years I was on it but when I had stopped it there, it was about five or six months later that I had went back onto it and there were no problems whatsoever.

When and if you do start Diane, you'll notice that the oily skin(if you have that, that is) will clear up by half after the first month and after that, you'll start seeing very noticeable improvements in your acne that after being on the pill three months, you'll see a big difference in your skin! Well, this is just my experience with these pills so others may have a different story with them.
