Hi I am male in his 30's and have been using acne free anti red which it worked for a month and then it didn't. I have used proactive for about seven to eight years and the results were fair but later it did not wokr that good and made my face red and dry, AS of feb2009 i am using acne free severe, somedays i don't put benzoil or retinol as my skin gets ajusted. Since three days I am puting all the steps now, I have a big pimple in my fore head and I feel my skin is irritated a bit, I get a small pimples in forehead, my cheeks have sort of clear, my nose is clear of blackheads, (Good results), then only thing is that I have been gettin these big cyst like pimples in my chin, it might be the junk food, I had one chicken nugget and a spicy chicken filet, I will stay away from all of it, I am really depress and anxious every night that I see my face, I wish they inveted a pill to not get acne anymore!! My question is that I have really oily skin, and about 4 hours after my first wash i have oily face that i wipe with a paper towl. about 8 hours i feel i need to wash again but with what, I don't wanted to irritated and I want the retinol or benzoid that i had put to continue working..I need to speak with somebody else that has oily skin like me... I don't have insurance and as of now I am doing my master's, I practice martial arts and work full time, so is hard for me to make time, but I will go to a doctor if needed. I am glad for this forum and hopefully it is helpfull for everybody else... thank you. please feel free to contact me ....

I have been researching a little bit, and find that most likely my acne that i have in my face is due to overproducing oil glands...I know this is not a suprise, but I notice the big pimples that I never had and that grow underneatht the skin is exactly that descripiton, (I also get regular acne). anyways, these must be due to my over comsuption of milk and whey protein. and vitamins that i started. SO now I am cutting everything off, and once my face clears I will start with the why protein to see how much i can consume...i know is scary just to think about that experiment... I also read that the astrigent that people use may cause irritation to sensitive acne, so I also stop that, I tell you I feel my skin better already... my routine am wash acnesever cleanser - retinol all over the face. Mid day, wash acnesever cleanser (may put moistor. I really have oily skin so dont' need that much) PM i wash with acnesever cleanser and put benzoid all over the affected areas.. seems to be working and my face is less irritated. will keep you posted. thanks for the reply...
