I'm Rita and I'm glad to find a website that's completely dedicated to fighting acne.
I am fifteen and i've had acne since i was 11, which was very confusing for little old me. I thought those first pimples were tiny mosquito bites!
I have moderate acne that i am still learning to control - I use a mix of drugstore and Sephora items which work for me.
I'm wondering if anyone knows something that fades dark patches left over from a pimple? I have a few of those littering my face, and besides for that I'm pretty clear, thank g-d, as of the moment.

hi rita
welcome to acne.org. im quite new here myself
i hope u find all the support u need

yeah as for the dark patches or red marks watever they are called, ther are products that supposedly speed up their fading but you risk formaing new acne with them. thats always been my experience

time is the best healer wen it comes to acne

hey im also new here and i have the same problem, though i have black heads on my nose. Im using Neutrogena. I have been drinking 10 plus cups of water a day for 2 years and it has improved my acne but it just never seems to go aways which sucks. For the red spots i just use a mask product from Neutrogena and so far it has improved a tiny bit. Like kate_d said time is the best healer when it comes to acne, which is lame.

Hey Rita!
welcome welcome! i know this site is a god sent! lol

and I started getting acne at the age of 11 too so i know what its like. I was young and didn;t know what they were so i started to pick..and pick and pick!! and now i have scars to prove of all the picking but anywho..i believe the "dark spots" you have is called hyperpigmentation. Its worse in light skinned people because well red is really noticeable on light skin!! but dan does have AHA+ which many have had success with fading those spots. I have them constantly and am hopin and prayin the aha works for mine!
