Heya everyone,

I'm new to these forums and figured I'd say hey.
My name's David, I'm from Israel and I just hit 18.
I'm hoping to get some useful opinions and advices as a result of browsing these forums which seem full with information, since I unfortunately suffer of acne as well.
Hoping to find useful ways to get rid of it and not complicated ways.

I've got a few questions though:
1) What's a Regimine/Regimen?
2) I've been drinking ONLY water for a whole year, I've totally banned myself from drinking any other drinks, or eating dairy, I found the variety of food that I have not quite large so what I eat is very repetitive, so I've been wondering if anyone has got any advices? not complicated once with so many weird names, because while browsing I find myself confused quite a lot.
3) About face wash, I do not know if what I use is good or not, I wash my face twice a day, morning and night with pretty much freezing cold water, using a "Botanical Facial Cream Wash - Chamomilla, For Sensitive Skin", and afterward I apply "Clinique's dramatically different moisturizing gel", I do not know whether these two are good or not so I've been wondering too.

Any helpful advices or opinions about those things will be very helpful.

Hoping to meet awesome people. sideways.gif

Hi David!

This "regimen" everyone speaks of is basically something you do every day in order to treat your acne. A process, really. On this site, we have something called Dan's Regimen which includes using a certain type of cleanser to wash your face, using benzoyl peroxide to treat the acne and then moisturizing to keep your face moist. You can find step by step instructions here http://www.acne.org/regimen.html

I do not know too much about skin care, but I do know that freezing cold water is probably not great for your skin as it may dry it up and irritate it (and someone can correct me if im wrong) .. If possible, use slightly warmer water.

Also, the way I managed to keep my skin clear and feeling better (though I did go on accutane which cleared me up) is by doing very little for my skin.. I wash with baby soap once a day and that is it

Stick around on the org, there are great people here with really great advice! =)
