I've tried so many treatments over the years, and I'm looking to try anything before going on accutane. I was wondering if any men out there have been on Spiro before and if it's recommended? Have you had any success?
Spiro for men?

I'm still trying to get my derm to prescribe it for me. She hasn't yet. But I have read that it will work for men just as well as women.

I am a male and used Spiro when i was 21.
It worked while i was on it (my skin wasn't perfect but it was better than when i used anything else), but my Dr. said that it isn't something that she'd want a young male using long-term.
And when i was taken off of it my skin got bad again.
We tried other treatments again(eryth/differin/clin/and more i can't even remember) but nothign worked.
So she put me on accutane and i'm almost finished and i'm basically clear now.
Obviously accutane is supposed to be a last resort treatment though, so Spiro is definitely something that you may want to try (after talking with your Dr. of course).
And like i said, outside of accutane, it was the most effective thing i had taken.
