The only real BCP that has worked for me when it comes to regulating my period as well as clearing up my skin is Diane -35. I would go back onto it once I have more cash flow coming in but for now, I'd like to try something different.
Now that I'm on Spiro, I'm strongly considering going back onto a BCP because my periods are practically non-existent but I'm afraid to because when I had tried Alesse over a year ago, it made my skin really, REALLY bad. If I were to try something like Tricyclen Lo, would it make my skin break out the way it did with the Alesse? What types of BCP have you tried that worked well with the Spiro?
Thank you.

I'm a big supporter of monophasic pills (as opposed to tri-phasic). I've been taking Apri (generic desogen) for years, and haven't had any problems.

I just started Apri 6 days ago. Did you get an IB? I am switching from loestrin 24fe which broke me out baaaaad!!!!! Yet when I was on the inactive pills I was really clear so Im hoping this one will work.

When starting any bcp, you're likely to have at least some sort of an ib while your body adjusts to the new hormones. When I first started apri, i was taking an antibiotic, so i didn't really break out more than usual. If you're really worried about an ib, i'd recommend asking your doc for an antibiotic to take just for a few months.

I've never heard of that BCP before. I'll ask my doctor about it.
Thank you!
Thank you!
