Ive seen pictures etc, but Im just wondering how one can tell if one has developed/is developing scars with active acne? My condition is mainly discoloration, red/purple marks, blackheads and very few white heads... It seems to be fading away very slowly but how can I tell if I have scars? This question has been asked a thousand times but are the red/purple marks scars?

For me, I started noticing indentations in my skin.

For me, active acne has a "feel" to it. It feels more painful to the touch. Scars...no pain. Big difference for me at least.
