Pure Deming IG
and
CP SERUM & Emu Oil
I have also began Incorporating ACV with Cayenne Pepper for 20 min every morning.
I am starting to notice around the chin and "smile line" area not only is it pinker than normal but there are areas that are SLIGHTLY raised. They look like little little hypertrophic scars. This is very depressing. For a second there I thought my skin was improving. Now I am realizing I am only making it worse.
Does anyone know how this could have happened?
Has anyone else had similar experiences?
Is there any way to treat these raised scars?
Please I am very depressed right now.
ANY information would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!

It doesn't sound like hypertrophic scarring to me; I don't see how the products you listed could cause that.

For atrophic scarring you should look into silicone sheets in conjunction with Mederma.

yes it is weird... i thought it might be the combo of undilluted acv w cayenne pepper. and i am noticing around the mouth area it IS more pink (irritated with little red bumps) but this one in particular if like a line pink and raised slightly (like as if it was shot with a rubber band.)
the cp serum i use is the REG. CP Serum (not super cp or super cop)
if it is a reddish bump as you say from cp serum, is it permanent? what would you recommend I do. Thanks so much in advance!

I've been using the regular CP serum for around a month now, and when I first started I would use a great big blob all over my face. Then I noticed some reddish marks and bumps, so I cut back to just one or two little drops and since then i've not had the same problems.
Remember also that the emu oil will push the CP serum deeper into the skin, so don't overload on that either.
Perhaps you should just start by cutting down the amount of all the products you are using and see if this helps.
Good luck!

(I hope it is not a chem burn scar!)
laina,
How long before you saw the marks/bumps go down?
Thanks again for your response!

The emu oil should ideally be used after the CP serum — if you put it on before it will act as a buffer and the CP serum will not penetrate the skin as efficiently.
Maybe try using the vinegar (diluted, without the pepper — that sounds quite abrasive!) in the AM, and the CP serum (just a drop or two) in the PM. Apply, let it dry, then apply emu oil for moisture.
Obviously you will have to find a regimen that suits you, but I would think that using bits and pieces here and there might be doing more harm than good.
Oh yes, the bumps/red marks diminished within a few days to a week.

I started using CP serum a month back and i started getting these little red bumps on my cheeks. The skin bio customer service people said i was probably using too much, so now i mix 2-3 drops of CP serum in some jojoba oil and use that on my face. The skinbio folks also recommended taking a week's break from the serum every 6 weeks with a basic non-irritating routine

Apple-Cider-Vinegar & Cayenne (capsicum) *
This simple mixture of apple-cider-vinegar and cayenne pepper is a topical circulation aid that you can prepare yourself. You may add ginger (from ginger capsules for additional comfort and effect). Apply this mixture directly to your scalp. The apple-cider-vinegar acts as a solution, the cayenne pepper as a stimulant and ruberfacient (increases blood flow to the surface of the skin). Be very careful too not to let this get into your eyes. As I mentioned in chapter 6, (Polysorbates & Scalp Cleansers), this combination is much like a milder version of pepper spray. It will dilate your capillaries to a blood red. Your scalp will feel a tingling sensation (if ginger is used) or like a mild sunburn if the ginger is not added. Leave this astringent mixture on for five minutes or more rinse off after use. If you feel that your scalp has poor circulation, you may use this as often as you like, although I think of it primarily as a good way to jump-start the process of renewal.
How to prepare:
Mix one 12-ounce bottle of apple-cider-vinegar with three tablespoons of cayenne pepper (capsicum). If using other than condiment style cayenne pepper, like the capsules, then beware of the heat units contained. Cayenne supplements are offered in 40,000 to 200,000 heat units. Use the same three tablespoons worth if the cayenne capsules read 40,000 heat units on the label. If using 100,000 heat units capsicum, then reduce the amount of cayenne to the mixture by one half. If using 200,000 heat units, reduce the amount by a quarter. The amount of ginger to add (optional) can be from one tablespoon or more of ginger powder. Ginger will add to the tingling sensation and help reduce the heat from the capsicum while aiding circulation.

I have neosporin on it and the surrounding area right now, and am completely off all topicals for a while hoping that this wil go down.
It does not have the "texture" of a scar. It really looks like an irritated "bump" of skin. Kind of soft and smooth, except it is a line. I just hope it is nothing permanent.

Sounds pretty harsh to me
