i just bought a 750ml bottle of apple cider vinegar, forgot to read the ingredients. so the bottle states it has preservative E223 in it. a lil research shows that E223 is:

"Another sodium salt of sulphurous acid. Used as an antimicrobial preservative, antioxidant and bleaching agent in food. overexposure may cause an allergic reaction. May cause hypersensitivity reactions in sensitive individuals, especially asthmatics. Other names--pyrosulphurous acid, disodium salt. Molecular formula--Na2S2O5."

oh, and i was planning to use it on my face together with the lemon juice treatment thingie.

thanks biggrin.gif

You know though, requiring pure, 100%, certified organic isn't always a criteria. For the vinegar, what we need from it is the fact that it contains 5% acetic acid in order to balance out the pH levels in our skin. Almost all vinegars meet that criteria.

You just need to be careful with the one's with preservatives to ensure that they don't contain anything that can/might irritate your skin.

That's true, malic acid has been known to be beneficial. But as far as I know, many people have tried: White, Malt, and ACV with good results. I intend to try malt for a while. See if that helps.
