Substute for PH Prep

Is there something that can be used in place of the PH Prep used for lactic acid? The smell is similar to witch hazel... so would that alone work just as well as the retail ph prep solution?

I don't bother using any prep, I don't think it's necessary. If you want though, diluted apple cider vinegar is a good PH prep.

I agree that it's not necessary. It's just meant to get the surface oils off of your skin so that the lactic acid will penetrate better. You might try a basic toner. I think witch hazel would be fine as well.
