Try propolis. It's a natural antibiotic, fungicide and helps virosis infections; The microorganisms do not become resistant to propolis like they do with synthetic medications. The tincture of propolis must be taken only orally because applied on the skin is stains badly. I recommend that you dilute 30 drops of tincture with honey to minimize the stinging action on your teeth; but there are other ways to do this like adding the tincture on a slice of bread or on a cube of sugar; don't mix with water because it becomes inefficient. Take this every morning 30 minutes before breakfast and every night 2 hours after dinner or 30 minutes before dinner. Do this for 20 consecutive days, than 10 days pause for 3 months. On the whole face use a cream based on propolis; it will dry your pimples and regenerate your skin. I prefer Aboca Biopomate with propolis because it does not make my face shiny and doesn't contain PEG, petroleum, parabens. But there are other good products containing propolis which you can find trough the internet.

Yeah I'm not sure how easily accessible Propolis is-though I don't deny it's effects!

It's just hard to find

Ever heard anything about nutmeg? I've heard that when it's mixed with milk and made into a paste, then applied to the skin as a mask/spot treatment, it works well. eusa_think.gif

Using nutmeg is beneficial for the look of acne and skin tone. It contains saponin-which has been used as a detergent. Basically, it can clean your skin.

It an anti-inflammatory so it reduces swelling, redness and irritation of the skin. It may be good if your acne is a product of irritation more so than hormones or something.

Chances are, it isn't going to help unclog pores. What it WILL do is make your acne less red and inflamed. The cleaning properties of it may or may not help reduce excess oil in your skin, which may or may not lead to helping it clear up.

It might work best if you have light acne. If not, it may still help in reducing the overall appearance of the acne. If you mix it with milk, which contains an alpha hydroxy acid, it may be more beneficial for reducing breakouts as the acid in the milk will help slough off dead skin cells and kind of prevent them from clogging pores. Again, this remedy will probably be best for people with mild skin problems.

Thanks for this. I may have to sprinkle some nutmeg in my yogurt mask. Do you know about how much would be needed to be effective?

mmm probably not too much. It's really your call as to what you think feels best for you. Try a tsp or 1/2 tsp starting out and adjust it according to what works best for you!

After a lemon has been de-skined, does it lose it's potency? I like to keep one in the refrigerator and use it for a week or two on my face.

Today I started whole propolis thing.... I drink 3 capsules of propolis a day and use propolis cream in morning and before bed. Last night I used it for first time, woke up with pretty good resuslts... less redness, skin looks toned... one bad thing tho it makes you face shine... but oh well... small price to pay surprised.gif stoped using Exposed skincare... as it doesnt help anymore sad.gif

About the lemon thing... ummm I would say dont remove the skin, because leaving it in the fridge without skin for a week or so makes it all dry and less useful.... Its like when you want to cook something but you dont need whole thing, you would only cut what you need and wrap the rest in some paper and leave it in fridge... that way all vitamins stay there... same thing here... cut only what you gona use then wrap in plastic and store it in fridge...

Also really want to comment on UT... people say its yuk and everything... I totaly agree its not pleasent experience... However, results are really really good, so when i go look in the mirror i go eusa_dance.gif and u go redface.gif ... thats the only thing... you want to have clear skin, but you refuse to have it >.>
Allthough, I dont drink it.... its just too much in my opinion... but using cotton ball and puting it on your face once a day will REALLY make difference... well at least to me it does...
Im not saying you have to do it, there are a lot of other things which give you good results... but this is the easiest and in my case most effective one!

P.S. zinc masks really good too!

I am a 16 year old male. Here's what I'm doing... help me please! sad.gif

AM: take 1 Tetracycline 500mg
wash with Cetaphil Facial Daily Cleanser(with 10 drops jojoba oil mixed in)
apply Cetaphil Moisturizer
every other day rub 12 drops of jojoba oil on my face for 5 minutes then let sit 10 minutes before I was or anything

PM: wash with Cetaphil Facial Daily Cleanser(with 10 drops jojoba oil mixed in)
wait 30 minutes or longer(until face is completely dry) apply Tretinoin Cream 0.025

I know this isn't the thread to ask this but, noone will help me...

My face is always a little red... could I stop the Tretinoin for a few days? I have been doing this for about 9 months now... finally got referred to a dermatologist... instead of my family doc I go the 18th... I am afraid to stop the Tretinoin... What would happen? sad.gif Also what else could I do with my regimen I am on now? THANKS so sooooo much in advance!

I agree. I think lemon juice has been one of the most effective things I've found for my sensitive skin.

HOO HA! I'M FINALLY ABLE TO LOG IN AGAIN!!

As to answer your question, friend:

My advice is to stop it all! Get rid of your chemical cetaphil and certainly step away from the Tretinoin. The redness could very well mean your skin is irritated from too many harsh products. Well, cetaphil isn't extremely harsh, but still contains parabens and such.

Give your skin a break. You might want to slowly minimize your regimen. Stop first with the Tretinoin. Then slowly replace your cetaphil with more natural solutions like some of the ones listed in the initial post. A lot of people have found success with lemon juice and it isn't nearly as harmful for your skin as the other products you're using. You may even want to stop cold turkey and just wash with something like lemon juice and moisturize with honey or even just use water for a week before starting a new regimen.

You may have an initial breakout, but if you stay persistent with natural remedies, they'll help to detoxify your skin, hopefully help clear it up after a month or two and won't be as harmful. Just remember persistence is key. You may not see immediate results. I know I didn't, but some people have.

Yep! I have actually found it to be better if I apply with a cotton pad, leave it on for 10-30 minutes and rinse it off. I don't like going to bed with a sticky face! I can also use it in the mornings too. (not like I go out into the sun much anyhow)

don't forget about coconut oil

anti bacterial, anti microbial, anti fungal
naturally moisturizing
the Medium Chain Fatty Acids found in coconut oil are the same that are found sebum (they dissolve the dirt and grim that clogs pores)
tastes good too

Hi all!

Just recently stopped with all the facial cleansers, mousturizers and all other stuff to my face and now just washing my face with water. Have some concerns/questions.

1: Im in vegas right now where its extremely hot so I have to shower a couple of times every day, I guess its not good to overwash the face with water either? Maybe I just should wash my face with water every morning and night and when I have to shower during the day I just wash my body and leave out my face?

2: I have breaking out pretty bad now in the beggining, is this normal when starting this natural way or is it likely im doing something very wrong?

3: Im getting kinda dry in the face during the day, I guess it has some to do with the fact im washing my face several times a day but is there anything natural I can use to mousturize my skin?

4: Have heard very good things about coconut oil, where can I find coconut oil and how do I know its pure and its not any chemicals or anything in it?

5: What kind of multivitamins do you all use, is any brand/kind better then the rest?

6: I think my daily routine will look like this after I bought supplements and coconut oil, please comment on it, if its something missing and so on:

Morning: Washing my face with water, use a natural mousturizer if there is any, take multivitamin pill, omega 3 fish oil, probiotic and a couple of tablespoons with virgin coconut oil (is there any difference between the virgin coconut oil and the one I want to put on my face?)

During the day: Eat healthy overall, loots of fruits, vegetable, whole foods, lots of water. Training one time a day and use aloevera for spot treatments.

Before sleeping: washing my face with water and apply coconut oil to my face.

7: Anything more that is very good to use now in the begining?

Will really appreciate every help I can get, especially now in the begining where Im breaking out sad.gif
