I don't know the sugar content of them, but I doubt that the sugar content is anywhere near high enough to cause any appreciable difference in your acne if you do take the placebo. When I first was on birth control I usually took the placebo with no noticeable difference whatsoever.

Later, I just threw out each placebo daily. No difference in acne whatsoever.

I took the pill that way when I was on it. In my case, the pill actually caused my cystic acne, so I can't really say that it helped me to skip the placebo week, but I did stop having PMS symptoms. No bloating, irritation, etc., so it's very possible that you wouldn't have period breakouts. I would talk to your doctor before doing it - sometimes they have to word the prescription differently so you'll have a pack every 3 weeks instead of every month.

Oh, I don't think the sugar content has anything to do with acne... I just tend to skip the placebos altogether because there's no point in taking them. I was talking about that week-long break (the sugar pill week) where your period's supposed to come in - would it be better to skip that week altogether and go straight into a new pack?

I wouldn't recommend that without talking to your doctor and getting her opinion first. It would be nice to skip the period, definitely, but one doesn't know all the adverse effects that may occur due to continual change of hormones.
