Looks like it got rid of the skin cancer pretty good, and without further scarring.

joylovepeace,

I CANNOT believe you just posted this. I was literally logging on now to ask people about this revolutionary idea that I had/stumbled across that I was SURE no one had yet thought of. Wow--synchronicity. I have been doing research on this for the past few days. There are lots of sites out there dedicated to this--some more legit-looking than others. There is also something called bloodroot (which is sometimes included in black salves) that looks interesting. I have this stuff called "draw out" salve which contains ichthammol. It's supposed to be good for drawing infection and foreign objects (slivers, pieces of glass) that get stuck inder the skin. It's supposed to work really well. The stronger stuff claims to remove tumors and claims only to affect cancerous, necrotic, or otherwise abnormal tissue (scar tissue???).

Wow, what a strange coincidence that you should post this now--we must be on the same wavelength.

HI! Yes I too have been mulling this over. Sometimes I "suspect" that some scars are actually just wounds that are unable to heal for some reason-maybe something stuck in them such as a blackhead or perhaps theyre unable to heal because of a local infection from bacteria or fungus. I had a hole on my nose for over a year and one day a tiny grain of salt looking thing popped out and the hole healed perfectly in about two days.

I think I would be more comfortable using herbs to get rid of the scars instead of TCA. Seems like the salves that get rid of skin cancers don't leave the lingering deep red skin.

I found this womans product on EBAY

It's an interesting idea. I have sometimes forced cysts to yield white heads with super cop.

I am also considering this for hyperplasia.

How long does that usually take?

Hi, all. I found this website in my research on salves. This one in particular is heavy-duty enough that, in my opinion, it shouldn't be used on the face (and perhaps really should be reserved for serious lesions), but I was just shocked by the fact that a salve can do this in a matter of days . Some salves, less-potent ones I'm guessing, have been used to remove warts and moles non-surgically as well. Really interesting stuff. If you follow the progress of this guys pictures, make sure you follow all the way through to page two. Oh, and a bit of a warning--it's a bit gross.

Hi Joy...,

I know exactly what you mean about your suspicion that some "scars" may be wounds that haven't healed all the way. It is true that if I've ever had a zit that drains, and then it doesn't heal as expected, if I squeeze it a bit, often something hard or solid (sorry to be gross), sort of like the grain-of-salt0like substance that you were mentioning will come out. Once this happens, it almost always heals up nicely. I have never before had hypertrophic scars (which is what I assume you are talking about), and I am so used to a bump meaning that something is in there that should come out, that it's really difficult for me to leave these types of scars alone. Whereas, while I don't like my indented scars, they don't tempt me to pick at them. Very interesting. I wonder if simply your body thinks of excess scar tissue or excess collagen build-up as foreign in some way. I wonder if that "drawing salve" would pull such excess tissue up to the surface and even out?

So, groove, yes I was talking about hypertrophic scars. Do you have them as well?

Holy Shit!!! Oh my God! That is a horrific picture--I was definitely not prepared for that. Such "escharotics" like that are scary stuff. The "draw out" salve I have is actually not an escharotic. It's actually supposed to be used to help boils come to a head more quickly (which it definitely does do). The Ichthammol, I believe, is harmless and would either work or not work, but I don't think it could do anything like those other "corrosive" salves. I will be staying far away from those. Thanks for the article Stefany.

My neighbor was considering using this about a year back - its an ointment called Cansema that had zinc, bloodroot and some other stuff. Apparently you can get the recipe off the internet. FDA raided the company that sold this stuff cause it burnt peoples faces off 8-[ and now they operate from some place in the Bahamas. You can still get this stuff on eBay. I remember my friend looking at some skin cancer message boards where people were raving about this stuff, but the pictures were SCARY.
