well i managed to clear active acne so now im on the following regimen twice a day.

1)the tape method
2)salicylic acid wash rubbed in and left for 5 minutes then washed off
3)diluted malt vinegar dabbed on with cotton wool

in addition i drink atleast 6 pints of water.

then same again at night, this is very cheap and so far seems to be working.one more question now i've cleared active acne theres no point in using bp anymore is there?? i cleared it 2 weeks ago and haven't had a pimple since.i have 4 months in order to clear my marks, well atleast i would like them cleared by then..........

This method sounds fine. The continuation of BP would be up to you. Some people have found that vinegar alone was enuff to curb their breakouts. For some, it wasn't. Good luck!

THIS ONLY APPLIES TO YOU IF YOU ARE IN THE UK

ACNISAL FACE WASH IS A GOOD SALICYCLIC ACID WASH AND BEST OF ALL IT IS AVAILABLE ON THE NHS. ASK YOUR GP FOR FURTHER ADVICE.

I AM SO FAR 2 WEEKS IN TO MY 3 MONTH REGIME USING ACNISAL FACE WASH, DALACIN T AND RETIN A GEL

I would NOT stop use of BP after being clear for only a couple weeks. BP doesn't do anything long-term, merely kills the acne bacteria present in your skin. If the SA acid and vinegar is keeping you clear though on its own though, there is no real need for BP.

The only way to find out is going off BP and seeing if you break out.
