I've decided to take a break for a while and stop Yasmin for a few days after taking it non-stop for many months to avoid getting a period. And all hell broke loose! A couple of days before my period I just thought I was dying, I was getting tension headaches, migraines, eye strain, extreme fatigue and lethargy. Not to mention a massive acne breakout! If that wan't enough I decided to stop Spiro at the same time, but I don't think my symptoms were due to that... Anyways, all I wanted to do was lie down and sleep -or die! The horrible feelings also continued after my period finished. So I gave up and decided to go back on the pill yesterday again and I'm feeling kinda better today.
I was wondering if that means I'm oestrogen deficient or something? Because it's not the first time this has happened during my period 7-day pill-free interval. Actually that's the main reason I decided to skip my periods for the last few years, with only a few breaks in between. Is there something I can do to avoid these horrible feelings? I'm 95% sure they're hormone-related.
Anyone else feeling sick after stopping the pill?

You're not supposed to take the pill without a break like that. When I used to do that while on holiday I'd get acne again and have breast pain. But yeah, that's probably why everything went all haywire for you.
I think the only brand that's approved for taking it like that is Seasonique.
I have a friend who takes the pill for a few months straight then stops totally, then goes back on again a year later (this is a regular habit for some reason), and she gets the same symptoms you did.
