U said u found a cure to flushing/facial redness after accutane?

Yes i take an anti milarial called mepacrine. It works by reducing and eliminating inflammation around the blood vessels. This is what causes the redness and flushing...

I probably have lupus though, which may be why the mepacrine works so well for me.

You won't get drugs like this unless you see a specialist and have very severe flushing and redness.

I have a dermatoligist appointment soon,so if i asked for this i could get it off him,and I do have bad flushing and redness.

Your derm has to be highly specialised in rosacea to even know about this treatment. If you aren't in the UK mepacrine isn't available to you. There are similar anti milarials which will do the same job. You would only get treatment with this family of drugs if your rosacea is very severe. It doesn't sound like you have severe rosacea.

Hi lemarr, So far this seems like the only post on this board were a certain drug eliminates flushing, How long did you have to take it to notice the difference where you dont flush?
