So I got a 30% glycolic/ 20% lactic acid peel a few days ago cause i only have a few zits but it looks like a lot more cause of all the hyperpigmentation and scars. It says i shouldnt experience any noticeable peeling and I won't have to hide out or anything but Im worried that it might break me out a little, in which case I might just wait till thanksgiving break to try cause I'm in college and don't want to stay in my apartment all weekend or something. My question is could I just try putting it on a small part of my face, say my chin because it only has a couple pockmarks on it, no pimples right now, and then see what happens over the next few days to get an idea of what might hapen when I do it all over? Cause it says to not use any products for 24hrs before and after the peel but i dont want to have to not use my BP at all for a day before and after but could I just not use it on my chin, do the peel just on the chin, and be ok?
need help with glycolic/lactic acid peel

powerlifter, I cant speak about the lactic acid but the glycolic peels wont cause you any trouble. possibly some break outs but its a very non harsh treatment. I do them once a week and it just leaves your skin looking refreshed.
are you doing anything for your breakouts??

yea i do the regimen but i only do it at night cause if I do it in the morning, not matter how much moisturizer I use, my skin is ridiculously dry. I sometimes do an aspirin mask in the morning instead. Do you only do the peels or do you treat it other ways in between?

what is the regimen exactly?? I'm not familiar with it. if you explain it to me I can give you some advice. sounds like this method dry's out your skin.
I use the glycolic peels just to refresh my skin. I have acne scars and I use the peels as part of my over all scar/skin care. I dont use it for breakouts. do you have oily skin normally??
are you a powerlifter?? do you take lots of supplements??

the regimen is just a non soap face wash then u use 2.5 percent b peroxide, and then a moisturizer when its dry. As far as supps I make a protein shake like twice a day and I take creatine like 1/6 of the year. Neither of these have ever created a difference in my skin so I do not worry about them. I still break out the same amount when I take them and when i don't.

I used to use B peroxide and to be honest it just did not do the job. I was sick of it drying out my skin ect.... I still use it once and awhile but what I will do I will put a drop on the acne itself rather then my whole face. It took me along time to find a good moisturizer that works without breaking my skin out. what regimen works for one guy may not work for another. I am not a big believer in products that dry your skin out anymore simply because they did not work for me. again, might work for you thou.
try buying some vitamin b5 powder and vitamin c powder and get a container. put a weeks worth of your daily lotion in the container and a little b5 powder and vitamin c powder and mix it up and use that as your daily lotion. it can help keep your skin dryer then normal and can help clear up your acne. its no miracle but its a effective method to add to your skin care routine.
