No idea.. I had acne on it before but it never turned red as a whole. Sometime (memory is slightly vague) in September it just got more red from what I think was an inflamed pustule to begin with. For some reason this has gone up and down in redness.. really wierd and embarrasing. So this happend before the Tetraslysal, I was on Tretinoin at that moment. I guess you just have to do what we always do... wait. I just feel like an angry person overall nowdays because of this... dont want to be that way but it just is. You know, you don't feel like nothing seems so important anymore then it used to.

yeah it can really get you down. I am not sure how much Tetraslysal helps with redness or red marks. I have loads of red marks on my cheeks but to get rid of them i have to wait and just let the prescription do its job on the active acne so that no new red marks form.

But my red marks are bad and they take a very long time to go away. I guess i have to just wait some more....

~2 month
Short notice. Breaking out below my cheeck... on my neck so to speak, never broken out there before. But I do now. Nose still red but has toned a bit, still a few break out here and there still (small ones). Yea, see how it looks in a month, no expectations anymore.

Hey,

good luck with this, I have been on it for 6 months now. At first it did nothing, then 2-3 months in my skin was uber clear.. then 5 months in (around xmas) it got really bad, I htink this was due to the amount of rubbish I was eating (come on, its Christmas!) but am not really sure. I am now at the six point mark and have quite a few new under the skin type cysts, the only difference is that they are painful and slightly raised for 2-3 days but then (with some BP, Ice/Hot water bottle) they go away without surfacing. I guess this is better than nothing.. but I am now considering going back on a BCP or Accutane (eeek) as don't want to pump my body full of this stuff unles it is really worth it.

Don't give up hope though. My gal pal is also on this (well she is on simple 'Tetralysal' - what is the difference?) and it works great for her.

hugs

Ive been using tetralysal 300 for about 3 months now.
I have noticed a difference and can shave more often now. lol
But not everything is good. in fact ......far from.
I have had about 3 reactions which last about a week.
First i thought it was other medication that i may had been allergic to.
I stopped taking them and my skin was great for weeks.
In the last 3 weeks however i have had 2 reactions.

The reactions themselves are an outbreak over night of white spots.
Skin becomes red even when i touch it. leaving red marks around each spot.
Not only that but old marks from spots that i had weeks ago come up.
Skin is oily too.
Had to stay at home.

Extremely depressing.
Just as i start getting my life rolling. it comes to a complete stop.

Dont want to know any1 or anyfing.
Just want 2 be alone or asleep.
To pass tym.

On the packet it says may cause skin to be more sensitive to sunlight.

I fink this may be the problem.

As 4 days before my last 2 reactions, i went under sun lamps.

I told my doctor and he sed in very uncommon cases people react to excessive sunlight.
With different outcomes.

Hopefully this is it.
Cos cud b anyfing.

My skin isnt great but is getting better at the mo.

HAS ANY1 HAD THIS PROBLEM WHILE ON TETRALYSAL 300?????????????????

Yea I know the feeling, just want to be in a empty void until the skin problem is gone. It gets so frustrated when you cant do so, you gotta get to work, you gotta get to the store etc. But the most frustrated thing is that you cant do anything about it more then to walk on theese so called medications.

I have not experienced any rash though, but my skin feels very sensitive and somewhat a red tone all over so to speak... even though I only use water and I keep touching my face to a minimum unless it is itching to a point where you just cant hold it back.

---

thinking of getting a new Paula's Choice 2% AHA again, but I shouldnt. I really want to know how much the antibiotic is doing. my doctor is going to call me on feb the 2th because I am getting out of pills and that I am not really pleased of the process. I have then used it for about 3 month with 2 pills everyday and never missed to take one. I expect him to say that I should stay on it for a while more (and I kinda want to do so myself because it has turned to a bit better again). He said on my first visit that I could try the antibiotic whit some local cream like antibiotic and I guess that is what he is going to add now when I explain that is not going really good. time will tell.

I see.

How well wud u say it has improved ur acne.
Because as i sed u can react to lots of things while on lymecycline.
As i also sed, it turns out that i react to too much sunlight. Meaning i cant use sun lamps, which i feel help hide spots and marks.

If ur are using over tablets and stuff, for ur head.

I also reacted to.

I found that i had no spots for over a month while on lymecycline.

It worked great until i react to stuff.

Is ur acne mild to moderate??

Also does ur skin leave a red imprint after uve touched it.

Because i found the solution for that.

Which is to only wash ur face once a day.

Helps keep colour in the face and healthy.

No matter how sticky ur skin is.

Wipe it off with towel.

Try it. Ur skin will stop developing so much oil.

And it looks healthier.

This stuff is absolutely cack, proper balls. first couple of months usin it i broke out like f*ck, like 15 pussy whiteheads a day, i went on to use it for 4 and a half months thinkin it would work eventualy. did it? no. coverd my face in blackheads and just ruined my confidence. so i decided against my gps will to giv it up (also played my stomach up towards the end). now skin looks better and runnin everyday for almost 3 weeks has meant i get virtualy no bad spots, but goin on accutane in the next couple of weeks cuz my skin is stil skank. cnt wait to finally b clear. dnt waste ur time with lymecycline, if it doesnt work after 3 months go strait for accutane.

I usually wash my face once a day theese last weeks, I just put the shower on very low presure and just rinse on my face. After that I just touch my face against a towel once (to stop it from dripping) then let the rest dry by itself. So I pretty much never touch my face, unless I shave.

I had mild to moderate acne when I started. Its hard to judge the improvement, it wasnt good when I started and it isnt good now but some improvements. My doctor is calling me on Monday.

I have used this for 3 month on Feb the 4th. I will give it around 1-2 month more. After that I will then go to a doctor and demand something that isnt crap.

I do the same.

Touch my face with a clean towel. and let rest dry off.
dont kno why. seems cleaniest way i spose. do u not use any scrub.
i use clearisal ultra. has little beads in it. feels lyk it massages into pores. cleaning it all out.

which u cant do with just water.
try one with beads. really makes skin feel fresh.

then one in every 2 days i use very thin watery moistuiser,

Talked to my doctor on the phone today. I am not sure of the word on English but he will contact skincare department in a bigger city for me to come in there and probably get on accutane he supposed since I am running out of options. I am happy if that is the case and will now cancel this. It can take up to 3 month until I get an appointment though, I will make a new thread of whatever I am getting.

Hi everyone!!
My doctor put me on tetralysal and i take one tablet a day he said he wants to see me back in two months! I havnt really seen any side effects im also using this gel which seems to have done something.. U see i have red marks on my face where i had spots there from years ago and its just made marks i used to get the odd two spots espically when coming on my period.. most women suffer from this problem i know.. Anyway when i started using this antibiotics its kind of made it worse i come up in more obvious spots now and then it goes away then it comes back im like what is going on??? i keep getting really big round ones under my skin which sometimes is really painful.. I wear make up quite a lot as im a dancer and have jobs to be in music videos so i dont really get a chance to be free unless im at home or when im going to sleep. The doctor knows this and said its ok as long as i take all of it off when i got to bed!!!

What i want to ask is..
Does it get worse before it gets better??
Do you know any food that i can eat to prevent spots from happening or anything i shouldnt eat that creates them???

Thanks guys you must all know how depressing it can be!! i hate this so much i just cant be myself

xo
