your redness look very light. Try tca complex. I am currently looking into lactic acid and have ordered this. I will give it a try and let you know if it helps with redness.

You mentioned a while ago about have IDL, how did that go? I am looking into vbeam laser. Apparently this is good for redness, but its availability in uk seems limited like the sb laser.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but it might be Rosacea.

IPL, V Beam and Metrogel works for it.

It is rosacea. I have the same exact same thing in the same places! The dermo prescribed me Dynacin 100mg and it works great! Also, I use organic apple cider vinegar in the morning ( dilluted ) and evening ( full strenght ) with a cotton pad. After the evening course has dried, I put on Vitamin E oil which is quite soothing. You can find a small bottle at any major food store for about 5-7 bucks. Good luck. Oh, and I stopped taking a shower in the morning. That helped ALOT!

purepersian - I edited the heading of your thread and deleted the word 'revolting'.

For starters, your face/skin is NOT revolting!! Looks like you have mild Rosacea.

Secondly, as far as I am aware, most of the people on THIS board have scarring to some degree or other which is far worse than yours... so if you think your skin is revolting, just think how others might feel when they compare themselves to you.

You may think your skin is revolting, but I'm trying to offer an objective point of view here.

You have no scarring from what I can see.

and as for the PDL, i only had a small test patch done to see how i react, i think the area was too small to tell much difference, but the redness in that area is deffinatly a little less red, maybe a shade less but i dunno i really cant tell anymore, its like i just see blur, iv given up all hope and starting to not really give a shit anymore.
iv got an app wit the doc at the end of this month to see if i shud go for a full face PDL treatment

god im tired of this life

ask your dermatologist about vbeam? it's good for redness and rosacea, if that's what it is. Do u have any thread veins - which is common with rosacea. Don't lose hope man, chin up O:)

hey no man i dont have any thread veins
i think the vbeam is the same thing as the PDL, the vbeam is basically PDL at a lower setting so it doesnt leave that purple bruising
u need more treatments with vbeam but u get less to no down time
with PDL its like 1 to 3 treatments and about 10 days downtime

I have Rosacea and had one V beam treatment, it works great. Also not getting over heated, avoiding alcohol and quitting smoking (if necessary) can prevent exacerbation of Rosacea. There are also some trigger foods for some people so you may try reading up on it. Also antibiotics do help along with Metrogel, go to your derm.

It says in that site that rosacea does not "come with" blackheads. Is this true? Meaning that if you have ros that you cannot/will not have blackheads, but bumps and pimples. I'm little confused on that part.

if the IDL made some effect continue with it, if u can afford the downtime. Otherwise vbeam is the only other option. Where are u getting IDL done?

Also give lactic acid a go. Any improvement with tca complex?

Apart from these 3 things, i'm not sure what else is available for acne scar redness.

VERY VERY MINOR shallow indentations..in my opinion. Just work on lactic peels and other topicals to get rid of the red marks (Maya, Oursfan, Trace, Nancy can advice further).

Once you clear out your red marks- the MINOR indentation will be less apparent. Don't aim for that 'baby's butt' smoothness. You're looking just fine dude.

If you want to reduce whatever minor indentations you have...try a couple sessions of smoothbeam. I had 5 treatments. While it did very minimal benefits for my deep scars, my neck areas (texture is slightly softer than your cheek) have improved quite a bit. I feel the indentations are less deep now.

Probably 2-3 treatments will do it for you.

Good Luck!!

Maybe try sea buckthorne oil or the soap made with sea buckthorn? Supposedly good for red skin and/or rosacea.
