Basically, I am very pale/freckly thin skinned and whenever I do something(yes basically anything e.g run for 20 seconds) My face goes pink and im sure its the blood showing through my thin skin, Even when Im normal in a normal room temprature my skin is still slightly seethrough and pink(I have permanent red cheeks too)

This is really starting to F*@K me off badly, Everything you try on the market just doesnt work, And it only seems to get worse.
I think im about to go on roaccutane also soon so would this make it worse/better?

Please some1 atleast reply if you have any ideas eusa_sick.gif

From what i've read from a lot of posters on this board, roaccutane will make it MUCH worse. I just posted another update at http://www.acne.org/messageboard/red-face-...at-t174169.html ,
your situation sounds similar to mine and hopefully something in there will help you. good luck,

I would say these skin conditions are never really fixed, more people find a routine which alleviates the symptoms. For example, this entire websites acne cure is based on a simple routine which works fantastically well for people who are unlucky enough to get acne because of their body makeup and genetics. So to anwser your question, I definitely have found a routine to pretty much completely stop the redness, yes. I again will say, roaccutane sounds like a very bad idea for someone of your skin type. The problems your having will most likely be made much, much worse in my opinion.

For what accutane does, there arn't really alternatives. Try the 2.5 benzoyl peroxide routine as advertised by this website, avoiding the areas where you dont get breakouts to avoid skin irritation. Lasers do work, but make sure you find a specialist of your problem otherwise things can be made much worse. There are different lasers for different problems, make sure you get the correct treatment.

yes and no to a tane making your skin more red... the redness and flushing caused by them is just a side effect... sadly sometimes its a more serve side effect as it carrys on well past the use of the drug... so its more of a pot luck thing

but your much more likly to get it as roccutane thins the skin so if your right and your blood just flow so close to your skin rather than just redness from constant acne which tane would help

as for your question about the bp being too much like above bp also thins the skin... however it does this over a longer period of time byt again if your right about why your skin is the colour it is then this amount of bp will make you more red in the long run

there are a few acne treatments out there that thicken your skin (i cant think of any at the moment though sorry) but you may want to try one of them as it would mean your blood is not so close to the surface... thus helping your problem at least while your using the product

...im still trying to find out if i now have thin skin or not

Sounds like you've got rosacea to me. If so you need to be very gentle with your skin. Maybe try Prosacia a mild treatment you can get at the drugstore.
