Guys I would lie to try Pantethine but those who already tried it is it true that it eliminates visceral fat by increasing body subcutaneous fat?

alrighty im going to take the much more appealing plunge and start taking 900mg of pantethine a day instead of 20-40 pills of b5 a day smile.gif
Everything ive read makes me believe that pantethine will work just aswell if not better than pantothenic acid in smaller doses, and the idea of taking over 100 pills a week inst appealing. Ill post back in a week or two with my (success) story smile.gif

Has anyone tried getting through one bottle while only taking only one pill a day? I mean, if none-acne people only need 10mg of b5 a day, and this stuff is more broken down for us acne people, it might be a worthwile experiment.

I just started my 10g dosage of pantothenic acid about a week ago. It is working miraculously, and it has been the only supplement/acne treatment medicine I have ever taken that has gotten me this clear. Along with Zinc, Pantothenic acid has completley healed my once vicious forehead, and I now have a nice smooth face, just like I used to have as a child. I always used to hate touching my forehead, feeling all the bumps and pus-filled lesions. Now my forehead is as soft and smooth as a baby's ass!

I'm curious, Stavs16, did you get any IB??? How soon did the B5 start working for you?

I'd really like to know if anybody tried the time-release from of B5, I want to try out taking a couple 500mg time-release pills instead of a flush of mega dose all at once..

Well thank you for your negative experience. A lot of the time, people post about what excites them, but when it doesn't work, they just move on and don't tell us about it.

I have SUPER oily skin, and have tried megadosing on B5 before. I used the powder, and I must say, it is quite bitter and disgusting even when dissolved in juice. I gave up on it probably too soon to tell, but had some side effects that I didn't like, such as feeling sluggish and diarrhea from increasing the dosage too soon, I guess. It was way too much of a hassle with the powder, but I didn't want to spend to much until I was sure that it would work.

Lately, I've been fed up with my oily skin. It restricts me from going out for too long. My face gets shiny very quickly, within a matter of 3 or 4 hours, even with an oil control product. I'm very self-conscious about my skin and it brings my confidence down. I'm told I'm attractive, but I am very paranoid about my greasy face and don't like going out often because of it. I have some mild acne, and my skin could be worse, but it is only mild because I keep the oil controlled.

I use DermaDoctor's Tease Zone to help keep the oil at bay, but that only keeps the shine controlled for about 3-4 hours. I recently bought Zinc PCA vials from Skin Actives and dab it onto my skin before I use the Tease Zone, and that helps to keep my skin shine-free longer, up to 5 or 6 hours. They tell you to mix it with the oil control serum they sell, but I tried that, and it's not as effective, so I use it straight from the vial. It stings a little, but that goes away once it dries. Now I am adding Pantethine to my regimen. The first few days, I took 900mg - 300mg 3x a day, and it made my skin break out worse than I've ever seen in a long time. I took that for 5 days, and then I figured that with my massive amounts of oil, I would need to use a lot more than that. For 3 days, I've been using 1800mg - two 300mg softgels, 3 x a day. The breakouts stopped, but there hasn't been any difference in oiliness. I've read that there is no point in taking more than 1500mg, since anything more than that gets excreted through your urine, but I don't know if that's true. If my dosage now does not work, I'm going to see if another slight increase after this might be more effective at reducing my oil.

Hey, any news about using Pantethine instead of Pantothenic acid ?

I have been using B5 for years, megadosing in the beginning (6g/day), then slowly decreasing years after years, not because of any side effect but because I felt like taking such dosages for so long maybe was not a good thing. I'm now taking 500mg every 3 days. B5 helped a lot, but maybe because I reduced the dosage so much, I sometimes get breakouts, and moreover I'm sometimes getting cystic acne which I didn't before: I have one specific spot on my chin, always reddish under skin, which will wake up every 3-4 months, hurt like crazy and swell like hell.
I'd like to get rid of this; I'm thinking about raising again my B5 dosage but if lower dosage of Pantethine really has the same effect, I'd prefer to use this.

So, would you guys - those who had results with B5 and switched to Pantethine - advise Pantethine instead of B5 ???

Hi all,
Well since I was 13 I've had severe acne. I've tried everything but in 2009 I tried antibiotics and they helped alot. My acne almost vanished but I stopped taking antibiotics because of the harmful effects they have. I recently read about vitamin B's like Niacin and Pantothenic acid. As of today I am switching from pantothenic acid to pantethine since I don't think high doses of pantothenic acid are necessary. So my regiment will be 1 gram of Niacin and then 1-1.5 grams of pantethine. I will post my results later in a month or 2. I will also be taking Saline injections on my rolling scars and will post my results. Good luck on your regiment. eusa_dance.gif

Any update?
I'm also about to make the transition from B5 to pantethine.

Anybody notice a significant decrease in oil that wasn't experienced with B5?
Any horrible breakouts after the transition to pantethine?

What can you conclude if your oil production is still extreme even with 900mg of pantethine??
Is there anything else I can try?

Starting today on Pantethine 900mg, possibly 1350mg per day along with biotin and b-complex. Lets see how it goes.

I haven't tried B5(Pantothenic Acid), thought I'd give the Pantethine a go first, I suppose it's the opposite way round to what most people do, so it should be a good test to see whether it works on it's own.

I'm 2 days in now, if/when it works I'll post my thoughts on here. If I don't see much of a change within a month or two, then I'll hit the Pantothenic Acid BIG time, though don't really care for some of the stated side affects, but no pain no gain I suppose.

Lets see.

900+mg pantethine reduced oil production to about 25-30% but wont reduce any further.. This is still nowhere close to being normal.. Any suggestions?
