also, why can't you do this after drinking? i would think the flushing of toxins and rehydration woul dbe so beneficial after a night of booze

My buddy gets a bottle of water down after a night of drinking and goes to bed. REALLY helps prevent a hangover.

i've been waking up and drinking 1-1.5 liters of water with the juice of one lemon. (sweeten with stevia if u want= healthy lemonade)

this does a number of things:
alkalizes, cleanses, hydrates, provides fiber, provides nutrients, helps with acne and overall health.

also...you don't have to "chug" all 1.5L down at once! drink as much as you can....stop. take a break for a moment or two. then drink some more. Spread it out over a minute or two instead of all at once!

Would drinking 1.5 Liters throughout the day be just as effective as in the morning?

Why not do that?

drinking this much first thing in the morning flushes out the toxins that your body has been working all night to remove. (your body detoxes while u sleep)

You should continue drinking water throughout the day to stay hydrated and flush toxins.
At the end of the day you should have consumed at least half of your body weight in ounces.
if you weigh 150 lbs. drink at least 75 ounces total everyday.

oh....and try to drink filtered water only.

heh oh man.....all kinds to be honest. but most of them have at least one banana, either spinach or kale, and whatever frozen fruit i have laying around. i change it up and experiment with new mixes all the time. otherwise it gets boring.
