Is it possible that by using Retin a micro my skin will never grow out of acne?

my skin never cleared up completely, and i never had super horrible acne but enough to make me feel really ugly and a little painful (some pimples and lots of blackheasds), so retin somehow reduces it a little less, anyways ive been using this for 1yr and 5months but i hear that once u quit retin a micro, your acne comes back a million times worst, so im thinking by me/us using this acne med such as retin a micro, can this cause me to never grow out of my acne?? and become addicted to this forever??

I think that would be a question to ask your doc/derm. I figure once I am relatively clear from tretinoin, I will continue using it maybe 2-3 times a week just to keep myself clear. I am 24 now so I figure I will just be using it continually for at least a couple of years. I'd rather be safe then sorry.

Our bodies grow out of acne naturally (hopefully at least) so we can't use any medications/cures to make it faster. It is the luck of the draw...
