Hello everyone. I am new to the forum but glad to find such a great website full of resources. I am now 24, and am having some BPC acne problems and seeking advice.
As a teen (13-16) I had moderate acne, blackheads and whiteheads on face and very mild on back/neck/chest, no cystic or nodules. I went on Ortho as a teen, then switched to Cyclessa until last year.
Last year I went on Yaz, and though I had mostly clear skin on Cyclessa (a few pimples around my period in T-zone, etc), the Yaz made a big difference in the quality of my skin. It looked much less oily and if I even had one pimple in a month it was rare.
However, I experienced very bad bloating around periods, extreme moodiness and sweet/salty cravings, so my doctor mom consulted with her gyn friend about my problems and she recommended Lo-ovral. After only 1 month on the Lo-ovral, I noticed my places breaking out that I never break out. My neck, jawline, up and down my chest. I also got really painful small red pimples on my back, only the upper part at first but now extending down to mid-back. I gave the Lo-ovral 3-months because I usually respond very quickly to BPC (skin, moodiness, period symptoms, etc.)
I am back on the Yaz (this is the end of my first month), and I know it takes a few months to see any change, but does anyone have any advice on ways to soothe my skin in the meantime? I don't want to use anything like Proactiv because it makes my skin feel scaly and flake off, but I do want to do something so I don't feel disgusting for the next few months. I have very sensitive skin.
Any advice would be appreciated. I live in a very hot climate and I can't even wear most of my clothes right now because they are cut too low in the front or back. Can you sense my desperation? haha, just kidding, but really, any thoughts and suggestions would be wonderful.
One thing I definitely want to do is stay on BPC. I use it for birth-control as well as skin help.
Yaz to Lo-Ovrel to Yaz again

I'm on Yaz, too. I know what you mean about the bloating, I've actually gained an extra 5 lbs (sometimes goes up to 8). That aside, Yaz has helped my acne tremendously. I keep getting these little breakouts lately which are stress/sleep related, as I posted in another thread, and sometimes from slacking on my regimen. This shows me that my regimen actually works for my skin so maybe it'll work for you, too. Currently I'm using Derma e products along with one Neutrogena product. Derma e is hard to find in person unless a local [natural] health store carries it. I think the best place to buy it is online, though. Vitacost.com sells the products I use by Derma e for a lot cheaper! Here are some links:

The Neutrogena product I use is their cream with salicylic acid and retinol for comedones
