I just had a facial treatment (extraction included) today at 5 pm. It was my first ever actually. and I was really really scared. My pain threshold was sort of really low. It was really what I was avoiding because I know how fragile facial skin is.
My mom said it was okay because she has been on treatment many times. My friends said it was painful but what I thought was maybe it was all worth the pain. What I was really after is to get the deep-seated dirt out of skin but what I didn't know and didn't really really expect was the dark red-brownish bumps that appeared on my face right after the treatment was done and it was not really pleasant. I don't even want to look at myself in the mirror. The redness and inflammation decreased just a bit after a few (1-2 hours) hours but the bumps/spots are still there. I'm scared to show myself to people because my face really looks scary. I mean, I think it was a lot better before I had the facial. Now, it has been 6 hours after. And my face is still full of bumps. No changes for the past hours. Honestly, I just wish I could take it back. The extraction was really painful i couldn't help but I really wanted to cry at that moment. Good thing I got a good control.
NOW, I'm really worried that there would be a lot of scarring and the dark spots won't disappear. Usually, every time I would have a zit, it takes a really long time before the dark spot disappears. Please tell me what I should do so the redness/bumps will heal fast and the dark marks will disappear as soon as possible. Home remedies..? better. I use Pond's flawless white anti-spots serum. (but not now of course since I just had my treatment). I'm afraid this extraction will cause further breakouts. I believe my face is not acne-prone skin. I just usually have zits during stress and a few days before I have my period.
I'm really sorry for this long narration. *I'm freaking out every time I'm looking in the mirror.
I'd really appreciate your help/suggestion/s.
Have a great day everyone. Be blessed.

Ah I'm guilty of popping whiteheads once they are visible. I use a clean needle and prick the whitest area then gently press the surrounding skin. Then I wash the area. If they're large and deep I just wait until the skin is thin enough and reveals the puss. Usually the pimple heals quickly afterwards.
