I'm in my 30s and have been on Seasonale and am now on NuvaRing. My bacne has improved a bit but I think it's affected more by sweating than my face and that's what tends to cause the biggest breakouts. The first time I was on NuvaRing my scalp acne went away entirely but this time it's not quite as successful.

Blehtifuly, it can take up to 5-6 months for you to see results with hormonal birth control. In months 1-3, you're likely to be a bit worse but that's completely normal as your body adjusts to the hormones. Even if it doesn't clear your bacne up completely, it should improve it. Most of my bacne now is non-inflamed but when I was a teen and in college, my bacne/chest acne were so bad I couldn't wear anything low cut at certain times of the year.

Mine actually began to get better on its own over a few years but it didn't clear up entirely until three or four months after I started taking dianette. It can help but I wouldn't be too quick to recommend dianette after my experience - it made a huge difference in my skin but the spells of depression were almost unbearable. However, since it doesn't affect everyone in that way I wouldn't say that you definitely shouldn't try it because there's a good chance that you would be absolutely fine.

Thanks for the information pinkshoeaddict =D !

Fizgig, i'm happy that your bacne cleared up !! Though, i kind of feel bad for you about those bad side effects :S I don't have any now, except being a little tirede and dizzy by times...Hope it will stay like that =/

Glad you don't have bad side effects! I'm on Marvelon now and it seems to suit me a lot better. I think my skin is actually a little bit better than it was on Dianette and the only side effect that I seem to be suffering from at the moment is bigger boobs :/

Loll, that side effect didn't seem to appear on my side ^___^''

Hey, now i can see some results =o ! My Bacne seems to be more like...3% Acne and 97% Scars 8-3 !!! Its probably due to --> The pill, i eat healthier, drink more water, exercice more, change my PJ t-shirt each night, and finally i apply some gel called Stievamycin (Tetrinoin and Erythromycin Topical) on my back each night tongue.gif

I hope my Bacne is fading away <333 !

blehtifully, how do you think your bacne would be doing minus the cream?

also, if anyone knows-

well my weight seems to shift, like 4-5 lbs. a week, but its not visible... at least to me? i cant tell if this is just normal stuff (like not peeing first or having a meal right before) or a hormonal problem

i also seem to have more adrogenous hair than most, though everyone says that im the only one who sees that

and i have pretty long periods now adays, so...

maybe i should get tested

btw did bcp do anything to the hair on anyones head (not facial, the top of your head, just to clarify hahaha)?

I've been on Yaz since February and my bacne is long gone. I get a pimple very rarely and they're pretty small and not painful like they used to be prior to Yaz. I honestly can't say it's all due to Yaz though because I've also been on a break from college for about a year and not having to wear a backpack or heavy bag everywhere could help. I'm 90% certain it is Yaz that helped, though lol
. I use bp if I start to feel little bumps for a few days which always helps me too. All in all, I think bc has helped my bacne, I will see in January if I break out from my backpack or if it was hormones all along
