Has anyone who lives in Chicago had the CoolTouch treatment done? Who performed the procedure? Was it expensive? There is this one doc in the Lincoln Park area I'm interested in trying but I have a feeling a may risk being exploited by her 8-[ .
If you don't know of any Chicago derms just your general experiences/feelings regarding CoolTouch would be appreciated. I have shallow icepick marks on my cheecks (they're only noticealbe when I put my face in the mirror) and somewhat superficial smile lines that I worry about becoming deeper and turning in to full blown wrinkles (I'm only 22 for crying out loud why do I have "lines" :-s ?)
Thanks!

I had cooltouch done about a year ago and was not pleased with the results.....there were no results!!!! I decidedd to have it done to get rid of a few very shallow scarred pores and it did absolutly nothing! what a waste of money. I spoke with a couple of plastic surgeons over the last year and they both told me that cooltouch doesn't work for scars. So IMO, i would look into different procedures to treat your scarring. Wish you all the best!

How many treatments did you have? I read on-line that upto 8 rounds would be needed and improvement would be gradual as the light stimulates collagen to rebuild.

I can tell you how to get the same results as cooltouch without all the hassel of going to that Dr.'s office in Lincoln Park.
Take a large very firm rubber band--hold it approx. 2 inches from your face and pop your self all over your face--make sure it hurts like hell. Then take your money--about $300 each month and either flush it down the toilet or burn it with a bic lighter. Repeat this procedure at least three times because you can't expect to see any results until then. After you get really fed up. Discontinue.
Seriously, don't do it! Someone should get the benefit from my mistake.
Check out Thermage and TCA CROSS threads. Good Luck!

Ha! Ha! I think I'll go to the bank right after work and withdraw that $300! Hope it works! Make it $302, I need to buy a bag of rubber bands!
