I also like to use the egg white and lemon mask with a few aspirin. My skin looks better after I use it. I also leave it on a little longer than usual.
Slow and steady improvement. UGH.. frustrating. Things will get better, then get worse, long cycle.
Slow and steady wins the race... against teen acne? haha..

Bought ACV with mother I was using the wrong kind so maybe it will help to switch
still drinking it
I am doing the egg white and lemon mask and then the turmeric and aspirin mask the next day and just doing a rotation. My skin looks better. Also still using EVOO and sometimes do OCM with it.

so my skin doesn't really look better but I am optimistic.
I have decided to do a couple of things starting NOW.
Buy an AHA lotion.
Stop using masks.
Use ACV toner only in morning on face and on chest and back at night because that has definetly helped.
Drink Water. LOTS OF WATER. I actually don't drink a lot at all.
Change bedding at least once a week if not more. Change pillow case every other day?
Disinfect phone with qtips (lol, you can call me a tweak. I'm ok with that)
Eat more healthily.. Eat almonds, avocados, walnuts, green tea, blueberries, etc.
disinfect laptop and mouse (yes I know this is kind of ridiculous)
Keep up with ACV
Don't pick/touch face. EVEN IF THE PIMPLE LOOKS LIKE IT SHOULD BE POPPED.
Try to get a good amount of sleep.
Clean room. (has nothing to do with skin but it stresses me out)
Clean makeup brushes frequently.
lets see how things go if i do ALL these things. I have a feeling my skin will improve? I am hoping it helps.
Maybe its just the stress of finals and drivers ed test getting to me
current regimen: Wash with cetaphil
Use ACV toner
Aczone gel
moisturize with oil of olay lotion
night
wash with cetaphil
tazorac cream
and once i buy aha lotion i will try it. IS IT OK TO USE AHA WITH TAZ???

a few things:
since school's probably almost out, lay off on the makeup for a while while you try your new regimen
be consistent!
and if you do use the AHA, don't get too much sun or you'll fry your face

I ordered it 3 days ago so I should be getting it some time soon.
My skin looks basically the same. I am not touching my face or popping anything or spot treating or anything. I am going to stick with my regimen, leave it alone, and pray my pimples heal.
I need advice with what to do with the AHA. Should I wait?

The pimples on my skin are basically flattened, I have new red marks but my old ones are kind of fading. I want to go tanning but I can't because on my FACE. argh

yeah long story
anyways on the upside my skin is looking better.
Using the AHA and Tazorac together has been fine.
I broke out a little under my nose but it might have been from touching my face.
a good thing about being grounded is I feel no need to wear foundation. I can't go out so its not like I have to see anyone. Only this week then finals then schools out. Hopefully my grounding will not last all summer.
I remain pale. always pale. never tan. will never be tan. haha oh well. maybe I will over the summer. but I feel like I will never be home if I am so lucky to get a job

I am going to eat healthily! I'm going to look on this boards and online for ideas about food and acne.
I feel like I am so close and this has helped many people. I know I will feel better if I eat healthy.
Last night I had some peanut butter with apples and my face started to get itchy. This year I have gotten many rashes that would go away after a day and I am starting to feel like they are somehow diet related.
Well, many people have said to stay away from dairy, wheat, sugar, salt. It's not like I am trying to lose weight, I am actually quite tiny, but I think giving this a try, especially during the summer could work. Of course I'll slip up but its better to eat 80% healthy than like.... 20% right? I am just starting to educate myself on all this holistic business so if you are reading this and want to share any information I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
Also, I'm considering eating very little meat, maybe only fish. If you are vegetarian, give me some tips!

I feel very ignorant and sheltered sometimes when I learn horrible things about our world.
Well I truly hope people respond because I am technically grounded from internet so I don't have a lot of time to research a lot of this.

Hey there, I have a few suggestions that might help with your acne situation.
First off, your foundation, a lot of times people don't know what they're putting on their face, and especially since you're a teenager and don't have a job, you really can't afford the expensive stuff.
Liquid foundation is the absolute worst, so if you're using that I recommend you stop, it clogs the pores immensely and it's really hard to get off when washing your face.
I recommend not using foundation with talc in it, it's an irritant and tends to break acne prone people out. Revlon uses talc in all of their foundations.
The best is mineral, I really don't recommend store bought foundation, however, some of it is good, like Milani Mineral make up is really good, and I think Maybeline mineral, anything with mineral is good stuff.
Also, about the tan thing, it's actually really good for acne to get a tan once in a while, I recommend getting a month at the tanning salon and only going 2-3 times a week, your acne will clear up and you'll have a nice base tan in the summer =)

Yeah I might go to a tanning salon but I can't really afford it and my parents probably won't let me go. Thanks for the advice though

I am trying to stay away from bread and other wheat but it is very hard and I have to eat what my parents serve. I can control my breakfast, lunch, and snacks and I have done a pretty good job of snacking on seeds, nuts, fruits, veggies. I feel like I am on a crazy crash diet but I don't want to lose weight and I also dont want people to think I am trying to lose weight! I just want my skin to heal. Especially because I am going to New York in 3 days and I want the pictures turn out good.
So I guess my skin looks decent right now, I have inflamed acne on cheeks and an inch away from mouth. I don't know if my redmarks are really going away very well. They sort of are. I am not even in the sun ever. Hopefully my new meal changes will make a difference.

my skin looks slightly better. acne maybe going down. definitley not close to clear.
i feel like the less i eat dairy, when i do eat it i get more stomach problems. hmm i wonderr if that means anything
im trying not to eat grain or dairy in my breakfast and lunch but its very hard. i dont want to just eat eggs salads and fruit my whole life

Sorry to hear that the progress is going a little slow about the acne going away
Even though you're grounded, I wouldn't hibernate in a room in front of the computer all the time. Get some fresh air, or break a sweat doing some yoga

my skin looks worse but i think it is because i had to wear makeup all weekend and i ate horribly. but i was in NYC and i had a lot of fun.
i am breaking out a little on my left cheek, and on my left side of my face close to my mouth , i have a large whitehead on the right side of my face an inch away from my nose, and i am breaking out a little near my mouth.
I think it is going away. I hope at least. it isn't a horrible breakout but I wish my skin would improve.
I am going to go back to a stricter diet . I just couldnt really do that in new york very well.

I saw a new dermatologist. I like her a lot better. She seemed more informed and willing to discuss my treatment.
She completely changed my regimen. I can't say it is a bad thing but I am definitely worried about my nice big initial breakout that will be coming this month.
Morning:
Acanya (Clindamycin Phosphate 1.2% and Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5%)
Moisturize with Olay
Night:
Differin 0.3 gel (the NEW ONE not the old differin)
She also prescribed Yaz, sort of, well she told me to go to the ob/gyn to get a prescription but she said that I should also do that.
she gave me another option of an antibiotic but I chose the BCP because I think it will help more.
I am expecting a disgusting breakout. I will stay home if I need to. I know it is depressing but I don't want to go out in public with shitty skin and makeup covering it up, which makes my skin worse usually.
I am scared my face will be super red.. I'm just basically super scared. Yeahh and Acanya is basically the same thing as Duac. Who knows, maybe all this will help...

While you're waiting for results, google the prescriptions and read about them
