I am currently 15 years old. My nose is extremely red and a bit close to being brown and I have big visible pores on it, it stands out from far away however, the rest of my face is normal. I believe that my nose became red when I was about 13 or 14, I ignored it thinking that it was just a side effect of acne. I treated it as acne using products such as Mandelic Acid, Aloe Vera Gel, antibiotics prescribed by my family doctor and am currently testing Bio Oil however my nose remained brown. Currently, I have a lot of acne on my nose, mostly zits and some blackheads probably because of Bio Oil as before using Bio Oil my skin was acne free. I went to my family doctor and asked him about the redness and he told me it was just acne and prescribed stievamycin and mynocycline pills but I stopped using it because it hurt. I don't really experience most of the conditions of rosacea like: flushing, burning sensation, dry skin, enlarged nose or visible lines although my nose has been getting a bit itchy sometimes. My skin is combination skin so it is very oily on the nose and forehead. Can someone please analyze my situation and determine whether or not I really do have rosacea? Thanks in advance.
Do I really have rosacea?

this just sounds like acne.... after its cleared up your nose will likly remain red for sometime, some people are lucky and thier redness heals quickly. if its as dark as you say it may take 6 months+ to get rid of the redness.
too combat redness like this you simply need to use one product for several months as it wont go in like a month ..... i use to use emu oil as that helps redness alot, i stuck with it for 2 months and saw a massive improvement (it started to break me out so i stopped using it, but i think that was being i was using to much of it and blocking my pores) same applies with aleo vera if you found it helped you should go back to it and stick with it
there are also several laser treatments around which tend to cost around £700 for the 1st year and around £350 every year following, this are designed at reducing redness from both acne (facial redness not marks) and rosacea and are success for the majority of people, but at 15 you may stuggle to afford such treatments
...if bio oil is causing you to break out i suggest you stop using it
