Ok, so suppose you ate something you're allergic to, or had some heavy stress, whatever the trigger and now you have a bout of eczema or dermatitis, what do you guys use to treat it? Steroid creams? Home remedies? Nothing? I'm curious to know.

A .1% hydrocortisone cream completely rid me of my seborrheic dermatitis at first. I then got a chemical peel on my forehead, and my dermatitis came back there at full force. I'm now using a 2.5% hydrocortisone and a mild retinoid to get rid of it, so we'll see. It's really just a build up of some dead skin - I never get any flaking, so it's not very bad, luckily. I think my oily skin may be a culprit, but I'm starting Accutane soon which will get rid of the oil, so the dermatitis may improve that way, if it's still there.

Thanks for responding, I've used those creams before on and off and I feel like I need to not use those anymore...afraid of thinning my skin, etc...Is this your first round of accutane?
