Just reading through some posts & wondered when most of you ladies on spiro take your dose. My dr told me to take all 100mg in 1 dose in the morning, so that's what I do. I see that some of you take it at night- do you think it helps with the fatigue? Has anyone tinkered with different times to take med & seen any significant change?

I'm nervous to take it at night because I don't want to have to get up to go to the bathroom, but I know some people do without much trouble so it may be a trial and error thing. I also take 100mg, and the fatigue went away after a few weeks. Hopefully yours will too!

I take mine in a split dosage of 75 mgs in the morning and 75mg at night. Thats what my doctor suggested. Someone here said that taking the full dose at one time was more effective for her, so Im not really sure. May be I'll give that a try

I take all 200 mg together right after I eat lunch. I've been doing this for almost 2 years without any problems. It's a good idea to take Spiro with food. Also, if taking it at night, you may find yourself getting up multiple times to urinate.

Hi, I take 100 mg of spiro after dinner or before bedtime. 9 times out of 10 I have to get up and go to the bathroom about half way through the night. But even before I took spiro, I'd say about 6 times out of 10 I'd have to get up to use the bathroom. So this isn't anything new to me nor does it bother me that much.

I also started taking my 100mg daily dose after dinner. My energy level is back to normal but it could be also that my system has adjusted. Also, I don't ever have to get up in the middle of the night to urinate.

Thanks for all the input. I always take my dose with food too b/c the first few times I didn't & felt really nauseous. I think I am starting to lose the tired/groggy feeling that I've had since upping my dose, but maybe taking it at night (instead of morning) would help even more....
