This is not a common type of acne & is on a part of my face I can't remember every having had a zit or pimple. I had teenage acne around 12 and 13 years old, but it cleared up nicely with no scaring. About 1-2 years ago, about 8 pores on both cheeks were suddenly (to me) sunken in. Without any accurate way to describe them, the skin butts up to them & folds around them for a "scar look". 1 year ago a dermatologist said they weren't scars & would go away over time. Now it seems other pores might join in on other parts of my face. Pictures just 2 years old show flat youthful skin, with slight redness where the bad pores are now. So slight I never noticed. Though not too visible from a foot or so, up close they look like hidious scars about 1/4 cm in depth & width. Gently pulling my cheek down, they flatten as the rest of my pores, but you can see where they are, much like the pictures. As I slowly allow my cheek back, it seems as if they are only a few layers of old, dead skin, very dry and thin. My face has itched very often since having them, as if something very tiny is bitting me, not a normal itch. I also had 1 blackhead that left an elarged pore on the right cheek. I am 25 years old and did not have any skin problems before this. I have looked at everyone I pass by, every photo in every magazine, pictures online, closups in movies (Johnnies Depp in the most recent Pirates of the Carribean movie is the closest I've found, but thankfull to him, his pores seems slightly smaller than mine in that area) and have not found a face the resembles this, not to mention three dermatologists along with lots of Assistants have not been able to even give me a name for it. Please help.
