Overall my skin has improved acne wise and I think I have gone through the IB. Although today at work I was in the bathroom and noticed my neck was a different color than my face.
It looked a little red and my neck much paler. I use taz .05 only on nights and thats about it. I am taking my self off doxy 100mg and am taking it every other day as opposed to every day.
The moisturizer i use is Aveno with spf 30. I also have cetaphil put it makes it look like I'm sweating ( A girl at my work asked me if I was sweating and i told her it was moisturizer cause im on tazorac and it makes me a little dry. She used to be on retin-a but is now 23.)
Is what I'm experiencing just because I have only been on it a month? Are there certain products I should try? I like to keep things simple.
Also this is a stupid question but should I be taking cooler showers? I normally take kind of hot showers. Should I just use less tazorac at night?
Any recommendations or advice is greatly appreciated.
It kind of makes me want to stop taking tazorac. I am also going to the beach for two weeks in about 3 weeks.
Edit: I did get an answer in the retinoids board, however, I thought i may get more help/advice here concerning this issue. I would really like to continue tazorac, but if its going to keep my face redder/darker than my neck and body I might consider quitting it.
My regimen atm is:
Morning:
Cetaphil daily cleanser
Benzaclin spot treatment( haven't had to use it much lately)
Aveno moisturizer (recommendations for a better one?)
Take doxy 100mg every other day
Night:
Cetaphil daily cleanser
Taz .05
retinoids--face different color than my neck
